This picture does not have a filter:

According to the internet volunteer firefighters have been working months to get this under control and there's pressure on the Australian PM to pay them.

It's bad, man. Check out the Australia subreddit for info: https://reddit.com/r/australia/

Australia’s prime minister visited families devastated by the wildfires. It did not go well.
The fire mercilessly tore through Cobargo, a small town near the coast in southern New South Wales, on Monday night, burning down the main street and killing two people, a father and son, caught in its destructive path.

Residents of the ravaged town were angry, their homes and livelihood suddenly incinerated in a fiery flash. On Thursday, they vented that frustration at visiting Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, who cut short his tour of the fire-hit residents amid their barrage of criticism.

“How come we only had four trucks to defend our town? Because our town doesn’t have a lot of money, but we have hearts of gold, Mr. Prime Minister,” one woman in a Led Zeppelin T-shirt walking a goat shouted at the prime minister, in video captured by Australia’s ABC news broadcaster.
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.

He's also a religious endtimes zealot. The biggest issue the world has seen in the last 20 years is the end of the world nuts getting into positions of political power and doing what they can to hasten the end of the world.

Chicken or egg thingy as they tend to profit off industries that add to the hasten.
