Why didn’t the victim just run away? It’s not like Baker could keep up with him.

There’s nothing like fan invective when a player who was disappointing on the field gets implicated in a crime.

Since I refuse to listen to anything cowherd - what is the context for it being great?

He makes a joke about Earl Thomas.

It would have to be an all-timer to get me to listen to him. I may hate him more than Bayless.

I think he sucks out loud too, but I like meme pages. So I'll spend the 15 seconds to hear the joke.

He's absolutely worse than Bayless. Bayless seemed like the absolute worse person on sports TV 10 years ago but now he's below-average in annoyingness, relatively.

Cowherd is worse than Bayless in the sense that Bayless is in on the "don't take me seriously" joke where Cowherd absolutely believes everything he says should be taken seriously.

(Bayless is still bad, obviously)

Maybe it's time for a white quarterback to "use his voice and actions" by kneeling during the anthem.

Carson Wentz has posted a similar sentiment.

Makes me wonder which NFL city would have the worst reaction to their white quarterback kneeling during the anthem.

Josh Allen probably doesn't have the cachet to pull it off in Buffalo yet...

It would be a tremendous debut for Brady to do it, but that's as likely as me building a time machine in the next four seconds.

Well right, and also him being firmly aligned on the other side. Most powerful QB that could do this would be ... I just googled starting QBs and I have no idea. They’re all either not white or white and mostly bland as shit relative to talent level. There’s no “whoa fuck Mike Trout / Connor McDavid said what???” level potential name.

Unless I’m missing your point, isn’t Aaron Rodgers the clear answer?

Sure. So would someone even like Matthew Stafford, but they're both MAGA turds.

Isn't Mike Trout famously under the radar to non-baseball folks for someone of such immense talent?

Rodgers grew up in a very conservative family but based on his comments on a variety of issues I think he’s a lot less likely to vote Republican than Brady or Brees, who are his two generational peers in terms of fame and accomplishments.

I would say so. I've heard of him, think he is a power hitter, but wouldn't bet on it. I'm 95% sure he is white, but have no idea what he looks like, no idea what team he is on. McDavid I only know because of the thread that pops up periodically with his name. I think Bapo! thought he was going to be the greatest player ever when he was drafted. How'd that turn out?

Aaron Rodgers is already a news item for what he says, it’s just not political. There’s no star QB I could find that has been silent on all fronts until now, where this would be a big moment to start talking.

He's in year 5 and you can't reasonably say "this guy definitely won't end up the best ever" so I think pretty solid. He's incredible on a shit franchise.

I don;t know hockey but I was like it was a bit early to be saying that. Didn't he win an MVP already?

If I remember correctly, it was pre-draft he was saying "this kid could end up the best ever", right? Might be another fun spin-off in terms of players in your lifetime who at one point could reasonably be projected as potentially the best _______ ever.
