Russia's navy chief, Adm. Nikolai Yevmenov, said that more than 50 warships and about 40 aircraft were taking part in the exercise in the Bering Sea, which involved multiple practice missile launches.
“We are holding such massive drills there for the first time ever,” Yevmenov said in a statement released by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Jim Gaffigan went OFF yesterday...(but he didn't make a thread, it's individual tweets. I'll post the first couple and you can go from there.)
And commentary...

Complete failure of a media scared into both-sidesism and focused more on entertainment than their actual responsibilities.
I don't get this take. There's been some story of the violations on the front pages of news sites nearly every day this week. The media isn't responsible for prosecution or enforcement.

Most of the television news reports on the horserace aspect of the election, as "politics as sport" historically drives ratings. They really should be hammering the facts that so much of this is against the law, which can eventually drive constituents to speak to their Congressmen, leading to action.
Of course, everyone also thought there were checks on power a few years ago, too.

When Trump surrogates are allowed on tv (which they really shouldn't be) and not immediately castigated and shamed, then it gives the appearance they have a valid opinion.
Literally every one of them need to be told to fuck off and die.

"Here we have Dennis Prager, founder of Prager U. It's a youtube channel that spreads complete bullshit lies that claim racism never happened, that the other party are really the bad guys, and anything easily attached to his party isn't what it appears. Now before we ask more specific questions, Mr. Prager, please get fucked."

Its also print and looking at how they phrase the same events elsewhere:
That wording here would be "some say" or "accused of" versus flatly stating what's happening.

“There’s almost not enough adjectives to describe how appalling this is,” said Emily K. Brunson, a medical anthropologist at Texas State University. Opinion polls have shown that many Americans are already wary of taking a vaccine for the virus.
If approval of a vaccine is viewed as politically motivated, she said, “it has the potential to really make this a disastrous situation.”

Fake News!
(Though maybe remind anyone who says that, that libel laws exist and sitting presidents are not excluded from bringing them via the courts.)

Trump has been, for the duration of his presidency, fixated on staging military parades, but only of a certain sort. In a 2018 White House planning meeting for such an event, Trump asked his staff not to include wounded veterans, on grounds that spectators would feel uncomfortable in the presence of amputees. “Nobody wants to see that,” he said.

So you want a parade of amputees just...not waving at people?

Doubtful if everything up to this point hasn't.
If I weren't going to lose my entire career and retirement, I would've been calling out people this entire time. I have to sit and behave like a good little Airman. This is why I want to be retired above all else. I just want my actual freedom of speech back.

Maybe hit a printer and leave copies of the article lying around...(kidding. Mostly).

For folks who see Trump as a defender of their people or way of life, it’ll be easier to believe that Trump is a victim of bitter Ex-aides and a hostile press than to believe Trump said what he clearly said.
It’s been so painfully obvious that even the concept of putting others’ interests ahead of your own is utterly foreign to him.
