2020 Quarantine - hair thread

Trying to maintain the goatee a bit, shaping it so it doesn't just become a tuft on my chin. May end up needing to shave if mask wearing starts to feel a little more urgent.
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.

I am boycotting this thread as it is hairist.

I'm continuing to do what I've done while deployed: buzz my head.

I've been here since before the barber shop opened and have to maintain military regs, unfortunately.

Super close to “cleaning up the sides” which would likely lead to disaster.

So I have this video bookmarked and this guy makes it look easier than I expected, but I can't tell if he's just uncommonly good at cutting his own hair.

I’m still shaving regularly (every other day), but I’m giving up on my hair. I’m accepting that by the time this over I’ll finally have that man bun from 2015.

I’ve just been using a beard trimmer on my head with the comb piece removed and it’s been surprisingly non-disastrous. But my hair was already on the long side when quarantine started so it’s probably a lot harder to notice unevenness than if it were shorter.

Over the weekend one of my kids was able to braid my beard (chair hair portion of my goatee?). The longest portions date from pre-COVID.

As for actual hair on the top of my head I'm going to be able to rock a pony during our vacation in late August and utterly horrify my wife so I'm excited about that.

My hair isn't even all that long, but my parents were visiting last week, so I got to enjoy a lengthy harangue from my mother about the length of my hair.

So, I got that going for me.

Which is nice.

week and a half from now - super excited!

We have a wedding (co-worker of my wife) in late September so there might be a post-vacation reckoning. Will likely trim my chin-hair, at least, which has been growing free since March 2020.

This Covid has been going on for so long, I've had multiple beards and cut them off, grew my hair long, cut it off, now growing it long(ish) again.

Lopped off well over 1/2 the length of my chin hair, first substantial shear since February or March 2020. Been thinking about doing it since coming from vacation earlier this month, and we have a wedding to go to this coming weekend.

I could rock a pretty awesome one right now if I wanted.

I'll be exactly three months from a cut/beard trim which is the longest I've gone since the pandemic started. I'm so ready.
