Maybe something like early next week, so around Tuesday the 28th? Or does the weekend work better for you guys. I mean we're all home obviously, not sure what home obligations everyone has so feel free to throw out ideas for dates.

Yeah I'm pretty flexible. Weekends just offer more drinking and staying up later.

Which site? Is it real or play money? If real money would we just deal with site or is it a PayPal/zelle/venmo thing/? Asking for me.

Play with play money, payout real money over venmo/paypal. (I don't think you can play with real money in the US.)

I'm giving Pokerstars a whirl tonight with friends. I think we have 9 so should be a good test.

Real ideally, but yeah -- not sure how we handle that tbh. Any help? Play money is fine if that's the only option, but tends to make the games a little dumb sometimes.

In theory, one person collects all the buy-ins (via venmo/paypal), you play your tournament online with play chips, and then that person pays out to the winner(s) over venmo/paypal.

I'm really hoping ours was just a glitch. There's no tech support available.

Organizer holds money ahead of time via PayPal or Venmo - pays out winners when done - there were 60 in the the tourney last night at $100 a head - paid to eight places and first took $1700+

I have to ask - are we planning a big money tournament, or a friendly game of somewhat modest stakes?

I was thinking something in the middle. Maybe a friendly $10-$20 buy-in tournament, especially if we can get a couple of tables full.

I wasn’t suggesting big stakes - just letting you all know it handled 60 with ease on poker stars and how they handled the payouts

I kind of want to join, but I've never played poker outside of video games, so I'm apprehensive about being the guy everyone gets mad at for ruining their hand or whatever.

Even strangers who do that at a like poker table are assholes, so you shouldn't have to worry about that here.

At a table chock full of assholes, it’s unlikely you’d get singled out.

Let's do this all democratic and shit. I just posted a poll, you can select two options. Whichever date wins is how we go. Think we're just going to have to assume everyone can't make every night.

I'm not going to vote, but I would like to be able to jump in pending my availability after date and time are established.

That’s why you should vote. I’ll leave the poll up until Tuesday morning by the way so hopefully everyone gets a chance to put in their preference.

I'm interested but my availability is very limited.

I voted Tuesday, It's the only night I'm available in this batch. I would have to make a pokerstars.net account.

The winner was Tuesday, April 28, so that's what we're shooting for. I kind of pulled 8:30 p.m. out of a hat, but should give those with younger kids time to get them to bed and the west coasters time to finish up with work and whatever else they need or want to do.

If you're available on Tuesday and want to participate, add your name to the list in this Google doc.

Someone else is going to have to help out as far as instructions on what to do on PokerStars or wherever we choose to do it.

Aside from downloading the Poker Stars app and sending my entry fee to whomever the appointed keeper is, what will I need to do?
