The sex sounds not matching what is onscreen is a nice touch.

This house is where 90% of the movie takes place and I can't figure out where the rooms are in relation to each other.

Sometimes the front doors leads to an alley. Sometimes, a terrace.

The TV is a symbol of their relationship so that's why he destroyed it.

So the point of the football scenes were to establish the alley so we recognized where the TV landed.

I think the metaphors that people try to apply to this movie don't always make sense. If you assume there's a "perfect movie" -- maybe The Godfather Part II or No Country For Old Men or whatever you perceive that to be -- then there has to be an "unperfect movie" and for me that's The Room.

It's like one of those puzzles your aunt posts on Facebook with a whole paragraph that's only vowels and you can parse out what it is because your brain is smart enough to figure it out. That's The Room.

Thanks for finally making that happen Brian.

And i would really recommend the Disaster Artist (book) to anyone who was fascinated by that.

Haven’t seen the movie but promised my wife we would watch if she stayed up for this. First Swamp movie she made it all the way through.

Tommy Wiseau might also legitimately be an alien. After the last four years or so I'll believe anything at this point. If an alien made a movie it would be The Room.

It's almost so misogynistic you have to laugh at it also. If it were somehow less misogynistic it would be offensive. It's somehow so offensive it's not offensive.

Anyway, thanks for giving me an excuse to laugh tonight. You guys and The Room came through for me again. Today is the birthday of my friend who went missing earlier this year and is presumed dead. I needed a distraction from not only a pandemic but that.

She didn't recognize her favourite customer?

Now that you've seen the movie, you should read "The Disaster Artist"

While nothing could be as bizarre as the movie, the behind the scenes stuff comes pretty close.

Hey brian, there's a Spinal Tap-style "Where Are They Now?" mockumentary series on YouTube with some of the actors that's actually pretty decent.

Notable takeaway is that most of the actors aren't actually that bad when given good material.

I'll have to check that out. First time I made my best friend Chad watch it I think I had accidentally led him to believe it was more of a fucked up David Lynch type movie, so you can imagine his confusion, but once he figured out what was going on, we had a riot.

Generally speaking, the less you know going in, the better.
