That's rather awful, Z.

Thankfully the hot yoga spot in Tucson was nothing of the sort. Sure, the instructors had the earthy, healthy, Prius-driving vibe, but to each his/her own.

When all I'm wearing is a pair of Under Armour constriction shorts, the last thing I want to do is take part in a sermon.

My apologies to Rass, the lovely Ms. Hayek and her breasts.

I had to ad-block that avatar. Can't have that popping up (hey now!) so often when I'm work Swampin'.

Just saw that Google Bots are listed in the users browsing the forum. Not sure why I think that's cool. I like the idea of them having their own login (and of course they don't login, but well -- whatever.)

Proud Parent thread with this! My daughter was playing with my ipod the other day and got hung up on Life After Graduation. I tried to get her on another album without making a big deal of it, but she was just laughing hysterically at every song. And the pictures that pop up for each song weren't helping my cause. "Is this what the guys singing looks like?" Yes. Yes it is.

Jack in Boogie Nights: asexual because the character called for it, or because of some requirement of the actor who played him? I think I always felt the latter, but watching bits and pieces tonight, and giving credit to PTA as a film maker for what he'd done since, maybe I'm wrong.

AOL's dial-up subscription business produces more than all of the company's profit (~$500 million a year). I wonder how many of those folks realize they are still paying for AOL.

I responded to that ad. And heard back within 12 minutes. Dude asked me to learn Shadowplay, She's Lost Control and Transmission so we can get together an test each other out. Wrote back that I already know those three tunes, pretty much inside out, and I play them on a Guild electric run through a Marshall.

I also informed him that I'm from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, where they kill you at birth if you are not a talented musician; dude was all over that, knew the heritage, respected it, all good.

So we set up a play date for next week. Neat, eh?

Where do you play?

At the center of the city, where all roads meet, waiting for you?

You can't miss it. The sign says "This is the way; step inside"

Or, just grab ahold the nearest passerby.

When I saw your post, I pulled out and cued up my 2007 vinyl reissue of Unknown Pleasures for a spin. It made for an odd soundtrack to the last three innings of the Giants game.

Those are solid, solid, solid Joy Division references.

I'm curious how well this guy can sing like Ian Curtis. Because I can. And do. It is my vocal range, after all. If I have any fault on those songs it's that I'm too deep range-wise for it. But when it comes to the screaming parts? I can nail that.

But I was impressed when I told that guy that Love Will Tear Us Apart is completely drum-driven. And he knew that, right away. So I'm at least thinking I'm not dealing with some wannabe. This could really be fun. I*'m overdue for getting back on stage. The Joycemaha is gathering too much house dust. The Guild, mind you, is ship shape primed.
