My sister-in-law lives a poor iron shot from Oglethorpe University. Nobody else understands why I always say lets go over to Ogie Ogilthorpe for a run or play some sport of their field. My wife's family has no good taste or basic cultural references.

We'll start at 9:10 p.m. ET as usual and take a break immediately after the Hanson brothers' first game. We'll pause on the scene immediately afterwards with the team owner clipping a story out of the newspaper.

I haven't seen Slap Shot in awhile and found myself looking forward to seeing this a little more than I was already as I fast-forwarded through to find a good place to pause about halfway through.

I'll prob tune in. Never seen it.

The stereotype of the French-Canadian goalie with poor English skills might have started with this movie.

I always thought Newman was impossibly old to play Reg Dunlop, but hell he was about the same age as Gordie Howe around this time.
