I'm not speaking for Rass, but one of the teams that lose in the first round of the playoffs will be getting the first overall pick in the upcoming draft, and there is an outstanding kid available.

Marchesault with a beauty of a tip. I wish I could quantify to the non-skaters out there how fucking hard that is to do and the pros make it look effortless. And that’s on a 50-60 beer league clapper. Not a 85mph wrister or 100mph slap from the point.

trying to think of a more insane ending to a playoff game... ??? I of course turned it off at 3-0, then got a text from a friend saying "this is interesting" and i checked again. watched all of OT then went back to watch the final 5 of regulation - that's a holySHIT replay. amazing.

It seems "the thing to do" as a Sabres fan is rooting against the Leafs but without the Sabres (who should have been relegated years ago) I'm still loathe to completely give up my memories of them in the Norris. Also rooting for Tortorella is like rooting for fascism - fuck that guy sideways. Go Leafs Go.

For sure. That’s what happens in this setup though. Boston is a legit #1 overall seed and they’re playing arguably the fifth (or so) best team in hockey. But that happened (see Bos vs Tor last year) in previous years as well.

The 1st round schedule is out. It makes no sense as the times are all over the place. Anywhere from noon to 8:30 pm local, for just two games a day.

Right, but Carolina has also been without two of their top four defensemen since the restart so a legit contender like Boston should be able to take atleast one game from them in this series.

Sure, but the NHL is committed to allow fans to watch as much as possible of all the games. Might as well play them all day.

Also you can’t just do an evening double header in each building, you have to leave a sizeable gap for ice maintenance and more importantly, the inevitable Overtimes in the early game.
