I'd much rather have VGK lose on the ice than never know if they would have won it all. I'm OK getting my hopes up a little (considering my general outlook these days is so down there's not a whole lot lower to go).

Jeremy Roenick Sues NBC Sports for Anti-Straight Discrimination in Firing

Hockey commentator Jeremy Roenick is firing back at NBC Sports, accusing his former employer of discriminating against him for being straight.

Roenick was fired by NBC Sports back in February after he made sexually suggestive remarks about colleagues Kathryn Tappen and Patrick Sharp on a podcast. Now Roenick has filed a lawsuit against the network in New York Supreme Court, claiming wrongful termination and discrimination based on gender or sexual orientation, according to our sister site Variety.

Not quite as sold on the Uniforms. I don't like the big strip of the lighter color. It would be better as an accent color.

I do like the Space Needle/Anchors though. That's very cool.

Is "Kraken" plural for for Kraken? Like 2 Moose and 3 Kraken? I'm necessarily against collective team nicknames, but be at least grammatically correct.

Also I see "Kraken" and just at quick glance I see "Karen". Maybe the mascot can carry an iPhone and complain about wearing a mask.

And honestly it comes down to what the team and fans make of it. Be honest, Golden Knights was sorta ho-hum when we all first saw it. Knights aren't exactly fresh, we've got 7 high schools around here with some variant of it. But the fans and the team took it and ran with it and made it awesome. Kraken is a great place to start. Think about kids in schools (in 2023 maybe?) getting out their crayons and drawing Krakens and stuff. So much cooler than a generic animal or idea.
