It's not a death sentence, even at his age, plenty of people recover especially when they have access to the best health care in the world. There's literally no benefit to him making this up -- at best it's a wash, but the more the election hinges on COVID the more likely Trump loses. If he was going to go to this trouble to concoct a scam that would easily be sniffed out by the world's shittiest investigative journalist, he would have done it in April.

I would be interested to know if betting odds have been more or less accurate in predicting elections over the years even though I’m not sure US books actually take action. I saw some site that had Biden -200 and Trump +190 but that was from bookies.com and I don’t know if that is a reputable site.

Well, that's why I said that 14-16 points might give it a chance to overcome shenanigans. Need a cushion of 5 million votes or more to overcome the onslaught maybe. A 10 point margin or better would get them that chance.
