I think it’s all a ploy to force Bartomeu et al to leave the board.

In all of this Barça mess, I've come to learn that Spanish football directors have to personally guarantee that their clubs will balance the books. I have no idea exactly how balanced they need to be, but the weird swap of Pjanic and Arthur was precipitated by a need to get finances in line. I can't see Bartomeu leaving without time to repair more financial losses.

Spurs making some good, solid signings.

Joe Hart? Just a backup keeper, but Hjojberg is the sort of player they desperately needed last season...

Matt Doherty

Always looked good whenever I saw Wolves play. And Aurier not starting is a massive improvement for the team.

Hey if Matt Doherty can suck at UNC basketball, why not at Tottenham too?

Spurs Chasing Bale

I'll believe it when I see it... but that would be VERY nice.

Just started watching it, really fascinating look behind the scenes and extremely well produced. About 3 years ago I was really enjoying Spurs' play and felt if I had just started watching, they would be my team. Now it's Chelsea. For the first time in 18 years, I don't hate Chelsea. I can't hate them. They are so fun to watch, and now that Our Lord and Savior Pulisic is wearing the Chelsea #10, how can you not root for them. Not to mention, the impossibly good looks of Olivier Giroud (you would, wouldn't you).

But back to All or Nothing, anyone else find something disturbing about Dele Alli? He has the vacant and knowing stare of a serial killer. Can't quite explain it, but he makes me fear for the lives of women and children he may be alone with. I did really love the lecture Mourinho gave him about being 56 in the blink of an eye and looking back and regretting never reaching his potential. Dele didn't seem to care.

I just think he looks impish, not evil. And I think he may have actually had that sink in a bit.

And I can't get the damn song from Alladin out of my head when I hear his full name.

I am. I started watching in 2001-2002, and Arsenal called to me. I meant if I had just started watching in 2018 or so, Tottenham's style would have drawn me in. I'm a believer in Rog Bennett's theory that you don't choose a team to follow, they choose you. I didn't want to follow a team when I started watching, I watched as much as I could and tried to stay neutral, but I fell in love with Arsenal. We had a thread about this many Swamps ago, and I can pin it down to an exact moment when I realized I was an Arsenal fan. If I started watching last year, Chelsea would have lured me in.

Silvinho's late equalizer against Chelsea. I guess it was September 2000...

Teams I enjoyed or rooted for last year in the absence of City-related concerns: Chelsea (Pulisic + other young players), Wolves (Traore et all are fun), Everton (no idea, maybe MiB?), Leicester (watched a bit because I really liked Kelechi and its carried over), Palace (Zaha), Norwich (Pukki + Cantwell were fun on days the entire team wasn't total shit)

I warn you, they have a shit manager.

Alli had a brilliant season and a half, but ever since Ericksen stopped playing well, he's been a mediocrity. My feeling is that once Bale hits the field, Alli is nailed to the bench.

And I'm stuck on three episodes of that show, largely because up to this point it seems as though Mourinho himself could have produced it. HATE that guy.

He actually had a number of good saves, but honestly. There's a non-zero chance that he never starts a game for Chelsea again. Or at least not an important game.

This thing where NBC has locked the games away is shitty. I don't want to have to watch on an app.
