Green beans are not my fav at all but canned green beans make me sorta throw up in my mouth a little bit. blech.
Canned peas, peas, green beans, etc. are wrong. The only palatable canned veg is corn.

Ever tried canned potatoes? What's wrong with people? Who buys this shit?

Fresh green beans taste like dirt every time. You can’t really tell me that canned corn tastes better than corn on the cob.

The flipside there is my kids, who aren't green bean eaters (they're cool with peas), were eating off the vine at a neighbors house this past weekend. Canned over fresh has to be based in childhood memories.

It's like cake but drier and less sweet. Also you will feel full after eating about 1/4th as much as you think you will.

I think mine is salt and vinegar chips. It's never the kind I'll immediately go for if given the option, but it certainly is for other people so I'll try it.

I'm fairly certain my taste buds have calmed down since I was a kid because when I was young the taste was so very overpowering I would spit them out (despite loving more vinegar in my salad dressing than oil). Now the slight bitterness is decent.

But I'm still not eating any type of melon, olives, or cucumber. It all tastes bad to me.

Real brown bread is steamed and fantastic, canned isn't bad. Had some every Sunday growing up as that was baked beans dinner day.

(and I do prefer cob corn to canned, just saying that canned corn is still ok, 99.9999999% of canned veggies blow. )

For those who are anti-olives...are you pro tapenade? Because the muffaletta is a delight.

And muffaletta is the unsung hero of New Orleans food options. Beniegets are overrated, fried seafood is good, chicory coffee is overrated, and tropical fruit drinks in novelty plastic containers are for rookies. But the muffaletta from a local deli while just walking the streets...phenomenal.

I'm Google image searching the sandwich. The olives are very noticeable. I also have weird taste buds. I'll definitely notice them.

And I grew up eating Italian subs from local spots around Boston. That sandwich does nothing for me.

I'll stick with the fried and cajun deliciousness of Louisiana.

How can one dislike little salt bombs? It’s beyond me. I haven’t ever eaten an olive I haven’t liked. Canned black, green, kalamata. They’re all great. Is it a texture thing or something?

Not a fan of real blueberries. The "flavour" though is good.

Same with strawberries. I must have been a teenager when I tried real strawberries. So disappointed as the fake flavour is so much stronger and sweeter.

Artificial banana is based on the Gros Michel bananas that our grandparents/parents ate, those were wiped out by blight in the 50/60s and our current bananas are all cavendish blandness.

Another weird old food thing, when my mom was a kid all they got was brown tuna in a can.
