2020-2021 EPL Season

Post by govmentchedda »

Kicks off tomorrow at 7:30 EDT on NBCSN

Can Liverpool repeat? Not if they don't refresh the squad a little.

Can Man City get back on top? Not if they don't sign Messi.

Can Man U improve on 3rd? Not if they don't get Sancho (and a central defender, and good left back, and midfield depth)

Will Chelsea's spending propel them to the title? Not if they don't sign a defender.

Can Leicester stay in the top 6? Nope, Jamie Vardy will be 34 soon.

Will competing in the Europa League exhaust Spurs? The not so Special One is already whinging about fixture congestion.

Os Lobos podem continuar sua ascensão? Provavelmente não.

Will the Gunners finish higher or lower than last year's 7th? Depends on if Ozil can hop in Bill & Ted's phone booth.

How will Sheffield perform after losing Henderson to Man U? Not nearly as well.

Can super ginger Sean Dyche coax a top half of the table result? Not if they don't add more than Wolves' former backup keeper.

Will Southampton improve? Only if they can coax Bale back from Madrid.

Can Ancelloti get Everton back near the European spots? To be honest, probably. James is a stud.

Will Newcastle get over Marge Schott not being allowed to sell to Daniel Snyder? Not for all the brown ale on Tyneside.

Can Eze combine enough with Zaha to have Palace competetive? Not if that's all they've got.

Will the seagulls do enough to finish higher than last year's 15th? It's all in Lallana's hands, what could go wrong?

Can Villa secure promotion without a phantom non-goal and last day heroics? Grealish can't do everything

Will Bielsa be able to keep "big club" Dirty Leeds in the prem? Not unless Bielsa can harness the MI6 in a more clandestine manner.

Who the fuck is West Brom? Exactly.

Which leaves Fulham, who will win the Prem after uberhandsome manager Scott Parker leads the Cottagers from West London obscurity to the title. $20 wins you $8000, lock of the century!

i'm pretty sure the buyers have more in common with marge than does the seller.

this should be a stadium chant at every away ground regardless of the fixture.

Do you mean in addition to Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell?
Totally Kafkaesque

Hope like hell that the #10 going to Pulisic means he isn't fighting for time.

The Chelsea take is a little stale, admittedly.

ETA - they're gonna be great this year.

I think Bruno Fernandes scores nine goals a game and United goes undefeated.

How can Villa secure promotion?

Going to be a long season for the Cottagers

Well, a silver lining of in-house isolation is more time to stream sports. This Liverpool game is crazy. 5 goals in the first half hour.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Wha a delight to see a team with Leeds’ attacking flair come into the league.

Without having seen the match or highlights, I find one or both of those penalties ridiculous.

No idea about the first one, but the Leeds players barely complained about the second one. If a team doesn't scream about an 87th-minute penalty in a tie game, it's probably legit.

I think they're going to have chemistry issues while Lampard figures out who can play together. They have too many players at this point.

The first one was completely legit (to my eyes anyway...but I see lots of people on twitter complaining about it) as well...handball in the box.

Not epl but both Adams and Sargent got man of the match honors yesterday. We also got Konor De La Fuente's first 45 minutes with Barcelona's 1st team (ball.in the back.of the net but ruled offsides.on a close one).

Looks like McKinnie got the start for Juve as well.

How much shit is Jose catching for subbing Alli off at halftime? Was only able to listen to the UK game commentary on satellite radio.

He claimed it was a tactical switch, so if you watched the second half where Spurs never came close to getting a good shot you'd have to think that Mourinho is a fucking meat head.

And starting Dier at Centre back really makes me wonder if he's being paid by Arsenal on the side.

Fuck I hate him.
