Third round underway. Dechambeau bogeyed 18 to save 10 guys. 60 guys will tee off in threesomes on split tees to try and get the entire round in. Tiger and Phil at -5 but not playing together unfortunately.

that is correct. they did give up on that. Just weird that CBS or ESPN didn't run this from the start today but it was ok to follow along on phones/computers live.

ESPN did do broadcast coverage from 730-10 ish. Then there was an internet only gap until 1.

Right. I watched the ESPN coverage - it was the gap in-between that was...weird. Just let one of them keep covering it in the gap rather than making it be streaming - especially since darkness will force an end to things by 5:30 regardless.

The US Open post-round player interviews were outdoors, masked and distanced. The ones this week have been indoors with no masked, and distanced, those close enough to both be in frame.
