Post-pandemic Swamp Up

Giff’s joke(?) about wanting to get out to Vegas got me to thinking we should try to do a meet up in Vegas one weekend once the worst of the pandemic is behind us but when it’s still cheap(-ish) to travel, maybe for a football weekend next fall (hopefully) or maybe like the playoffs in January 2022. Any excuse to finally get together in groups again.

I cropped him (and his gf (or was it fiancé?)) out because they weren’t swampers and more importantly didn’t have matching shirts in that photo.

Plus the really shady guy is the one who revealed everything BUT his left arm.

Kinda sad in a way that we were already talking about the "end" of the pandemic in Nov 2020.

Anyway, finally got to meet sancarlos in person yesterday and we had a great time catching up, having a couple of beers and one of the things that came up was the idea of trying to do actually do this one of these days. Probably not until closer to the actually real endemic phase of this thing but maybe next spring or even possibly this fall.

Always nice to meet up with a Swamper I haven't met IRL before though.

I'll hopefully see both brian and SCK soon. Vegas at end of April/first of May and Bay Area in June. We thought we would only be in California for 10 days maybe, but then we realized we work from home and would have a free/comfortable place to stay/work, so we may stay an extra three weeks or so.
