I didn't get it either. Then, after hearing it, I definitely felt like an idiot for not getting it.

Just a reminder to everyone that didn't play in Game 1 last week that you're on the schedule for either tonight, Wednesday, or Friday. The moose out front should have told you. Check your local listings.

What time are we scheduled for Friday? My daughter's soccer team just scheduled a makeup practice for Friday. Email says one time, app says another. Either way, I should be good after 9:00, but if it's the later time, I won't get home until 9:00.

Can't remember what I fudged up setup-wise in that first practice game but it definitely affected my ability to participate in one of the rounds. I had to Zoom via my phone because I don't have a camera/mic on my shitty old PC. I think I must have logged into the answering interface via my phone, too? Maybe I have to ask nicely if I can grab my wife's work laptop for the Zoom meeting...

No set schedule. I plan on just reaching out to the whole league (or certain teams once the unplayed combinations get narrowed down) as frequently as I can to see what matchups can be pulled together. The 4 teams that haven't played yet are paired off for tomorrow and Friday, and I haven't gotten any further than that yet. Teams are always welcome to arrange something on their own and then let me know. I can do most any night.

Yeah that's the ideal setup. 2nd would be just to use your old PC and not be on camera, I guess, but ratings will dip. Zoom on the phone and buzzer on a PC browser works but the clues will all be very small and I won't accept that as the connection.

Episode 3 - Str8 Evil vs. The RayJays

This one was a delight. Well-played and nobody throwing around words like "under protest" and generally fomenting insurrection.

The weird thing is I read a medium-form article about Chris Jackson a couple of months ago. If he hadn't popped up, I would've completely spaced that category.

And I just figured how I really know him, because he was a bit before my time... He was part of the "real" soccer players in the movie Victory.

So just watching these a bit and I'd put it to the people, but maybe bump that timer to like 90-120 seconds? It does seem a bit rushed to work it out but we don't play our real life game until tomorrow.

Also given my state of things in the last 2 weeks I'm going to submit my bar trivia team name, "Soft Dump in the Corner". It works on so many levels.

Friday is a bit nuts right now as my wife had a death in the family and may be switching up plans but for now I should be OK on Friday night ~9 still

Yeah, there's definitely a moment of feeling out on high wire without a safety net... until things click into place.

Lot's of fun. I'm looking forward to the next game, where I won't be anxious about getting the format... and bringing the stupid.
