But, when I lived there, we actually thought we were something like urban sophisticates, because we lived in the biggest metropolis in a 250 mile radius, and all the rural folks would come to our town to go to the bars/restaurants/stores, etc. In actuality, we were rubes too, but lacked the self-awareness to realize it.
Pretty funny, in retrospect.
