ok, as repulsive as it seems (and my initial reaction was disgust).... is it really worse than what we middle aged dudes so-revered back in the 70s/80s/90s with divisions named after fucking horrible people (Norris/Adams/Smythe/Patrick)? Even typing those out makes me feel so nostalgic.... but they were total shitheels.
SCOTIA DIVISION BABY! i'm all in for our corporate hockey overlords.
(i can't even tell if i'm being sarcastic or not....)
p.s. i apparently suck at Swamping. i'm new here, give me a little rope.

That's a good one. While I don't want the NHL to get to NASCAR level advertising, I do want to see them maximize hockey related revenue.

I read this out loud and it doesn't sound all that different than what we hear for most major sports these days.

If I can stare at those dipshit Chelsea uniforms, I can deal with conference sponsors.

Exactly. Who fucking cares? Let's get as much money as we can into this league.

So you have listened to a Washington Football Team radio broadcast. I can't find it but there was a great newspaper article that highlighted how crazy the radio call was because everything had a sponsor.

First set "Crosby has unexpectedly left the ice and headed to the locker room" tweets of the season (he came back). Yay hockey.

He is still the only Swede to ever score 50 goals in a season. I think you can stump alot of people with that one.

Yeah, that shouldn't be possible and yet it is. William Karlsson of all people is like #6 or something like that on that list with 43 goals.

Peter Forsberg never scored more than 30 goals. That might win some bets too. In 1991, Tomas Sandstrom scored 45 in 68 games playing with Gretzky, so injury prevented him.

I thought maybe Zetterberg had done it but he's only had 43 as well.

Smart. Fans outside at football stadiums at 15 percent capacity was one thing (and arguably still not smart) but indoor arenas at almost any capacity seems like playing with fire.

1,000,000%
As STM, I had the option to get a 10 game package, or a 5 game package, and politely declined. Those packages were not guaranteed to be in our seats, as they'd come up with a plan to do their best to distance the groups of 2 and 4 seats from each other.

Removing Milbury and adding Babcock is not really an improvement.
I've never seen Babcock do anything other than spew generic coach-speak, so I'm almost intrigued but I'm sure he'll suck.
There are lots of stories of him being an asshole. Start with Commodore, Franzen and Marner. Then the jokes on Twitter will make sense.

Those Lake Tahoe games should be amazing. I literally can't imagine a better (realistic) backdrop for an NHL hockey game.
