Though really they should have traded him for anything the least bit reasonable in that case...
Yeah if the Texans knew they would have traded him weeks ago.

Honestly not sure the Texans org has earned that assumption but you’re (we’re?) probably right.

That’s fair. Lawyer may have gone to them ten times and they just ignored.

DeShaun Watson's book marked down to $2.99 on Amazon. Probably not a lot of takers for a book titled "Pass It On: Work Hard, Serve Others . . . Repeat" from him at this point.

My son really liked that book...

So the title was less motivational and more instructional?

I just had to laugh about it last night. I'm so very happy my emotions surrounding sports have really toned down over the last few years because holy shit is it hard to be a Houston fan right now. I expect the Cougars to not only lose to Loyola, but somehow kill that damn nun and make everyone hate them forever.

Nah. Our ownership is just as racist and idiotic. And our star QB we could've traded a couple weeks ago for a massive haul should probably be going to jail.

And that's just football!

Its amazing to think about how awful things looked in early March where "the only way this can get any worse" would have been a really bad trade return and yet somehow a lower floor was discovered.

I almost bought a Raiders hat last week in Vegas. But I think Arizona's my team this year.

I'm just excited that I can root for the Lions again without feeling dirty. Dan Campbell might be a meathead but at least he's not a rapist.

I can give you a deal on some very slightly used Bears gear, if you are interested. I'd really like to show Pace how to actually make a good transaction.

That looks like a great trade for the Dolphins (unless the number 3 pick becomes a Hall of Famer)

Assuming the #2 pick isn't settled, isn't it weird to give up that much without having a specific player targeted?

That's what I thought. You have to be really high on two guys, or you're just winging it.

That kind of goes for any trade into #3 this early in the process though.

To Philly, giving Howie Roseman an extra 1st in ‘22 to piss away.

Sounds like the Dolphins are banking that Kyle Pitts will still be there at 6. If it works out, that’s a masterstroke.

The only reason I don't like this is because you kinda sorta but not really tanked in the last game, then trade right below two division rivals. If the Cowboys and Giants weren't sitting right there at 10 and 11, I'd be okay, but I'd have much rather traded back with the Panthers or Broncos.

I'd wager that the Dolphins are thinking that either J'Marr or DeVonta is there at 6, especially if the board goes 1-2-3-4 QBs with Penei Sewell or Kyle Pitts fifth

is that gamble worth the loss of the first in 2022? no idea. but it's kinda crazy to me that two extra firsts and a third to move up to No. 3 wasn't much less than some of the potential returns being bandied around for Deshaun Watson before the massage assault accusations came out

Aren't there "rub and tugs" in Houston? "Massage" parlours where he could have got what he wanted without potentially throwing his career away?

Yeah, but what's the fun in getting a tug without using your power to force an unwilling participant into the act? Anyone can pay for it!

I'll never forget the night leaving a bar with a buddy and as I pull out of the parking lot I see him walking into one of those establishments.
