I've got 4 hours to go before I never have to wear a mask again.
Anyone else just learned today that J&J is 4 weeks post-shot, not 2 weeks like the others?
When I got mine in early March, they told me two weeks.

Shot 1 (Pfizer) acquired. Quite an operation they have at the convention center here. Impressive.

Moderna shot 2 wrecked me last night around midnight, about 12 hours after getting the shot. Fever, chills, nausea... Couldn't lay on my side without feeling nauseous. Very little sleep.

Totally worth it.

I had Pfizer #2 yesterday afternoon, and knock on wood, I’m totally fine so far. I even moved a couch about an hour ago.

I actually was humming mama-say mama-sa mama-ku-sa as ‘Wanna be Startin’ Somethin’ was being played over the PA system in the post-shot waiting area.

And when my wife looked over at me, I got a little louder, which made others in the waiting area smile.

It's ridiculous that states and private businesses should have to resort to bribing people to do something that is not only in their own self-interest but that of everyone else in their society, but we are cursed with the GOP in this era.

I saw an article that the CDC is going to approve Pfizer for 12-16 year olds next week. Surprised it's happening that fast, but I think I'll get my kids vaccinated quickly. I do think kids will have more severe side effects, but I'm ready to stop fearing this shit. I'm much less concerned about them getting severely sick, but some of the long term side effects, even in asymptomatic people is scary.

I'm going to need some data. Cause I know a shitload of people who are fully vaxxed and to this point only my wife had anything that put her down for more than a few hours (though I think some swampers did have a rough go), and no one has said any side effects weren't worth it.

how I mean that is its pretty common (even here) to hear that the 2nd dose took you out for a day or 2, and I wonder if that's been a deterrent to anyone.

There was a report in the press last week, saying that 92% went back for the second shot.

Apparently that is a high number for a two-shot vaccine.

Yeah, the shingles 2-shot vaccine is something like 62% returning. The eggheads are pretty psyched that as many as 92 percent have come back.

Yeah and I was one of the 38% who failed to return. Now I don't know if I need to start over or what.

It helps that the two Covid shots are a set amount of time apart, and vaccination right now is a big public thing, and of course you could die if you don't get vaccinated.

I think I can guess why the second shingles shot gets less participants than the second Covid shot.

I got the shingles shots in December and February. In opposite to my Covid shot experience, my first shingles reaction was pretty bad and my second was no problem. My first shingles shot effect was worse than Covid shot effects.
