This one also hurts.

RIP Lucille Bluth among so many other great roles.

I will hear "it's a banana Michael, how much can it cost, $10 dollars?" in my head with her voice for the rest of my days.

Have you guys seen her in Play Misty For Me, with Clint Eastwood? If not, you should.

I put her in the other thread but I’m glad she got her own. A weird role of hers I always think of also is the university president in PCU.

I never have time for Swamp Movie night, but that would either be a good one for the list, or it's already been done.

The guy who directed PCU played Ellis in Die Hard, which I only learned today.

I didn't realize Clint has been directing that far back. I thought his first one was Unforgiven.

Will be interesting to see what is done with Archer. When Woodhouse's voice actor passed they built that pretty heavily into the plot.

I had thought Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) was his first directing, but according to IMDB, Play Misty for Me (1971) was Eastwood's first director credit.

But holy shit has he been busy at it for the past couple of decades. It looks like he's directed 20 movies or more this century - and he's over 90 now.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Her character on Archer is intentionally modeled after Lucille Bluth, right?

According to the ringer, yes.

"The character description for Malory Archer, the acid-tongued boss (and progenitor) of the animated FX comedy’s namesake secret agent, told prospective players to “think of the type as Jessica Walter from Arrested Development.” Naturally, Walter was the first voice actor cast by creator Adam Reed; why settle for a type when the inspiration herself was happy to sign on?"

I couldn't get into Arrested Development but her scenes on Archer were gold. Maybe the best in that cast.

Archer lost me a bit when they started doing it in the style of other shows. I still liked it, just felt forced sometimes.

Some of the themes (drug smuggling) were miles better than others (1950's Hollywood).

I think I watched a few episodes in a row and by the end of the last one, the constant scene switching to finish the punchline made me delete the rest of the upcoming recordings.

AD was just trash the last two seasons. Or at least the parts I could make it through.

The final dream season (in space) was pretty good too. The Dreamland season in LA not so much I agree.

The Archer:Vice season is on the shortlist of single funniest seasons of tv this past decade.

My avatar corresponds on my place in the Swamp posting list with the all-time Home Run list. Number 45 is Paul Konerko with 439.

The Dreamland LA was rough. That’s the most recent I’ve seen, need to get back to it.

Just found that Walter and George Segal did a short-lived sitcom together in 2011-2012 that was on TV Land. It was called Retired at 35, which I'm sure you can guess that their son, well, retired at age 35 and moved in with them. Even with the two legends, I'm sure hilarity did not ensue.
