It's so damn good. Adore is a perfect verb there.

Just started season 3 of Better Things, and it's a fantastic watch. I'm a huge fan of everything about the show. Great cast, scripts, direction, etc.

Finished "Parks and Recreation" last night.

Thought that season 7 was pretty weak in the middle, but the last 3 episodes were pure gold.

And the 2 part wrap up was 100% fantastic.

A great, great series. One of the all timers. I will miss Ron, Leslie, Ben, Chris and Tammy 2 so much.

If it wasn't $90 for the 8 year old, I'd grab a bottle of Lagavulin to toast Ron's future success.

That is the perfect response and Pruitt definitely should.

We just started season 6 of Schitt's Creek and I imagine we'll just start back over when we're done.

Massages

Mimosas

Fine. Leather. Goods.

I think the scene of Ben in the Batman costume crying about how he's going to treat himself might be my single favorite moment in the series.

Damn! Lagavulin 16 is always on sale the last year or so. I've been seeing it (and purchased) as low as $60. I'm down to one or two more glasses, so need to get more. It truly is the nectar of the gods. They even have an Offerman Edition. Haven't tried it yet.

I wish I liked that stuff. I love me some single malt, but Lagavulin, Talaskar and the like all taste like potting soil and gym socks

I’ve been watching the Waco show on Netflix (originally pbs I think) and I was wondering why the thibodeax character looked so familiar. It’s Macaulay Culkkns little brother.

Non-sancarlos-specific question:

Was there ever a reason given for postponing the debut by several months? It was originally slated for late March, I think.

So Apple TV is brining a show about Ted Lasso forward. Have to say, bit worried about this one. Last time a commericial became a show we ended up with that crappy Geico commercial caveman spin off.

Isn’t it about 20 years past the time to do an “Americans don’t get soccer” comedy?

That was a tremendously funny 4 minute bumper bit for NBC. The thought that someone could turn that into anything other than that is so monumentally stupid. Also, they recycled the first joke from the NBC bit for the trailer. Out.

Looks like the pulled a few of the funny lines from it. This would have been better as a weekly thing for the NBC broadcast (similar to Special1 TV) or even Quibi. Keep it short, produced little bits.

Is it a show or a movie? It wasn't really clear from the trailer.

ETA: I'd be pretty shocked if Sudekis was doing a show.

I think a movie, but could not tell. And Apple+ made me shove it in here. Guess that is a bad assumption due to Greyhound, but the lines are blurring.

Wow, interesting. Seems like it would have made for a fairly amusing 90 minute movie, but not sure how it will go as a show. I'll end up checking it as soon as I get Apple TV though.

That has so much potential to be horrible, but I'd give it a shot. I could see it working in a Brockmire way, a cartoonish caricature of buffoon interacting with real people. I'm sure it'll have a lot of low brow jokes that fall flat, but Sudekis is great, so maybe it'll work.

I'll watch it.

As I'm finding it nearly impossible to focus on heavy dramas or dark mysteries these days, it 's kind of in my comfort zone.

Here's 4.5 very funny minutes of it. Please save yourself the trouble of assuming they can stretch this in to anything better than this.

Not sure if this is totally the right thread for this but this Alan Seppinwall long read about the past, present and future of cop shows and how cops are portrayed on TV is really interesting and really well written.

Decided that I'm slightly disappointed that they didn't (couldn't???) go with the "MacGruber is coming to the 'cock" tagline in the actual video.

The Other Two, the funniest new comedy of 2019 I saw, is moving to HBO Max. Comedy Central might move a lot of their niche scripted shows there.
