How dumb do you have to be to be in contention and swap relievers with an also-in-contention Rays team?

Simeon Woods Richardson will likely develop to be a cog in the middle of a rotation with proper development, too.

The Jays aren’t pushing their chips in like this unless they feel they can catch Boston, or settle as the home team WC winner as the result of a balls-out September chase.

I love this kind of move.

oh yeah, me too - it clearly makes the Jays a lot better right now and into next season, but also a really good deal for the Twins. Just fascinating all around.

I know from reading some reports this year some are worried about Martin's lack of power but then again, it's his first year in the minors - pretty sure Mookie wasn't crushing it for a few years either. Then again, the Jays have built up a great system and if they decide to re-sign Semien this winter there's nowhere for Martin to play anyways.

Its a huge return, but atleast Berrios is the kind of pitcher you can feel good about using those prospects on. Already great with room to go up another tier and signed through next season.

Its said to see Mariners fans (what few they have left) tell themselves that Jerry DiPoto knows what he's doing, and he's rebuilt the farm system, and they are just a few years away from contending...

I’m pretty stoked about the Kris Bryant trade. I keep wondering who else the Giants have to give up besides the two prospects announced.

They should see if his broken-ass approach at the plate works better at leadoff.

Seriously, Rizzo is the prototypical bat for Yankee Stadium.

Six inches. It was, like, six inches from tying the record. Would have been a HR in 10 parks. Last night was really frustrating. Especially w/ Brewers and Padres having lost. Real missed opportunity.

Kevin Brown was criminally underappreciated.

And God, fucking cocaine, man. I really get bummed out how much of Dwight Gooden we missed out on.

Kevin Brown is a no doubt HoFer who wasn't nice and had a bad run at his most high profile stop.

I was gonna say it's weird that the Tigers have the last two players to hit triples from opposite sides of the plate in the same game after it happened today and then I remembered they play in Comerica Park and it doesn't seem that surprising really. Still, it's only happened twice this century, both times at Comerica by a Tiger.

Not for nothing, but the Phillies are starting their most important series in a decade against the Metropolitans.

It has been a playoff atmosphere at CBP this weekend. Too bad it’s not October. But it does feel this team is starting to take things more seriously at the moment and is showing a little more fight since they salvaged a win in the Pittsburgh series.

Florida Man.

Rizzo lost himself a lot of good will among Cubs Twitter for not getting vaccinated.

I wish I had a way to bet on the Yankees missing the playoffs by 1 or 2 games, or whatever the right amount would be to blame the unvaxxed Covid cases.
