Not a great start for Hendricks. Walk and a homer for the first two batters.

But it’s Wrigley Field and the sun is shining in the white pinstripe uniforms. I’ll take it.

At least the Tigers aren't going to go 0-19 against the Clevelanders this year.

I enjoyed how the commentary during Cabrera's home run was that he couldn't see it clear the fence, but the rightfielder apparently didn't see the wall.

So much for the usual opening day pitchers duels. And not a ton of home runs either from a quick scan.

Why are they still doing the runner on second? Just accept ties already for chrissake. Even the NFL thinks that a tie is acceptable, and those guys bleed hetero masculinity

Yeah, play two or three extra innings. If no one wins, then it's a tie. How many games a year before the stupid runner second thing went 13 or more innings? 10-15 at most?

Yeah. Cap regular season at 11 innings. It’s fine.

12 innings or 3 hours and 30 minutes in Japan, whichever is first. Been like that forever.

I had completely forgotten that they kept the rule. Couldn't figure out how I missed the Braves getting a man on third with one out when I thought I missed maybe 30 seconds of game play. I don't completely hate the rule, but I don't understand why it has to happen in the 10th. At the earliest, it should be the 12th.

MLB.TV is today's T-Mobile Tuesday giveaway. Sprint members are included since T-Mobile owns them now.
Thanks for this. Made sure I signed up on Tuesday night and fired it up tonight once I saw the Mets-Nats was virused out, and then I realized that was the only game scheduled between 7:00 and 10:00. What kind of scheduling was that? At least I got to watch some Giants-M's before going to bed.

If anyone else missed this, you can sign up anytime up to April 5th.

Honestly kind of surprised MLB had the balls to move the ASG. Of course, since attendance will still likely be somewhat limited could only serve to do a favor to the Braves to give them a later game after the furor dies down and the media forgets that nothing changed and Black people are still second-class citizens in red states.

Also if you have DirecTV, they are giving a free week of MLB Extra Innings through April 8, so all games are available for a week.

Read the bullshit Braves release. Then read what took me 5 minutes to write and I posted in a Discord server. Who ya got?

"We the Atlanta Braves are saddened by the decision of MLB to move the All-Star Game out of Atlanta this year, seemingly as a direct result of the GA State Legislature enacting legislation that disenfranchises our coworkers, colleagues, and fans all over the state of GA. While the Braves cannot reverse this decision, we can do our part to make things right and show MLB and the rest of the US that Georgia is a foremost home of baseball, the nation's pastime that should be celebrated by all. Given this situation we will immediately be donating X,XXX,XXX dollars to local Atlanta businesses that will be impacted by this decision. We have also made a promise to all Braves employees from the Front Office to the Gate Workers at Turner Field that they will be paid in full for a full weekend's work as if the All Star Game were still being held. Finally, the Atlanta Braves will be creating Y program with Z,ZZZ,ZZZ money to fund voting registration both at our home games and at our community outreach events to show that in America, Baseball AND Fair Democracy matter." - Your Atlanta Braves

The Braves moved out of a perfectly fine stadium specifically so their racist fans could get as far away from Black people, so fuck them and their crocodile tears.

Last night no games in the 7:00 window as MLB only scheduled one and Covid banged it. Tonight, only one game in the 7:00 window and it is Marlins/Rays.

They really trying to keep people from getting excited about their product again.

True. But I was over there yesterday and that place is so much better off with Georgia State on that property than the braves. Still early in the development but I'd much sooner hang eat and drink there with the tiny bit of what's open than the battery. The entire mechanicsville and summerhill areas will benefit greatly. Something about pittsburgh though. Like it will never change.

Phils gave up 3 runs in this series. With this bullpen. And swept the Bravos who was a team who could come back from
15 runs down against the Phil’s last season even if they were up by 3. Sure, it’s been a cool few day and there’s 159 games left, but this Phanatic is gonna enjoy this weekend.
