I always love it when you guys comment on a story without providing context.

Luckily I had already read McButterpants' story. (Anecdote was about Morris being an unhelpful dick to Mahomes Senior years ago - contrasted with Alex Smith being a good guy last season with Mahomes Junior). To me, the tweet just appears to be Morris trying to cover his ass now.

I have about zero doubt that Morris said what Mahomes said.

Seconded. My happiness over Trammell getting into the Hall of Fame this year was undercut by Morris going in, too.

Gordon was only in trouble for weed, right?

He will be part of a good tandem when Edelman gets back from his PED suspension. And other things...

JFC

Sounds like something the most obnoxious Pats (or Steelers or Giants) fan would say.

Maybe JUST MAYBE, if the Patriots hadn't been implicated in two huge cheating scandals and MAYBE if they hadn't had a TE who was basically a fucking serial killer then we could talk about the hallowed reputation of the Patriots, but heaven forbid they sign a dude who has been busted smoking some weed I guess.

Don't forget Donte Stallworth. The Pats signed a convicted manslaughterer.

I'm a big fan of Josh Gordon, and I was really hoping he could take advantage of this opportunity. I've read rumors that he reported to practice drunk. I used to rail against the NFL for penalizing him so harshly for smoking weed, and in one case, potentially second hand because he tested so low that one of his two samples was below the threshold. Now, I have to think there is a much bigger issue than Gordon liking to smoke weed. He was busted for drinking beer on the team plane when he was forbidden from alcohol. I don't know if he has addiction issues or a mental health issue, but there is something going on with Gordon. Either way, I don't think Gordon is criminal or malevolent guy, and it pisses me off to see weed use or mental illness categorized as being "unworthy" of the Patriots.
