Out of my last pool thanks to the Saints getting more than 8 points last night (they got 12).

But even though I lost Aaron Jones after a carry, and the rest of my team underperformed, I'm putting this loss on the shoulders of Pat Shurmur who decided that relying on his broken down QB and greasy handed receivers was a good offensive strategy in the middle of a monsoon. Asshole abandoned the run in the first quarter and as a result, Barkley had a negligible day. Derrick Henry on the other side had 33 carries.

Fuck you Pat Shurmur!

Someone do this for me: 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, facing a team I'm a slight underdog to but not enough to shoot for some upside or bust lineup. Curent starters in bold ...

RB: Conner, Henry, Carson
WR: Thomas (NO), Cooks, Jeffery, Anderson (NYJ)
TE: Brate, Samuels
Others: Jackson (SD), Ware, Kelly (LAR)

Aside from Thomas and Cooks I don't know I'm locked into anyone. Obviously best case is Conner getting declared out but who knows.

So you wouldn't start Samuels at TE thinking Conner might go right back out or split time?

Just fucking do whatever. If I had started Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield instead of Aaron Rodgers and Dak Prescott, I win my league. Nothing matters. Arby's.

I think that, if Conner is healthy enough to play (he did practice last Friday before not playing and is expected to play), he will because Pittsburgh is fighting for a playoff spot/seeding. They de-activated Conner last week after he practiced, so I don't think they're going to try to play the mind game of acting like he's playing when he's not. If they were, why wouldn't they have done that against the Patriots with conference record as a possible playoff seeding tiebreaker?

Might he play with a reduced role? Sure. Will he? I doubt it. Do both play for the team in the NFL that runs the ball less frequently than every other team? Yes. Are they likely playing in a shootout on the fast track of New Orleans? Yes.

And you have three more days to gather info before deciding.

I definitely think its smart for Conner to sit out one more week. Pittsburgh looks like they're doing the right thing.

Its me again ... lets say I just read that Goff is struggling and Cooks is facing a really good CB this weekend. Is Jeffery + Anderson with Cooks on the bench (1) insanely dumb, (2) more risky than dumb or (3) utter fucking brilliance?

Was up, then losing again, now it’s over on the TD. That was tense.

Because why wouldn't I bump this thread?

Sabo is stepping away from my longtime league as we set out on our 20th season, so I am fishing for a replacement to join Sybian, Giff, GoodKarma (they’ll all be in your division for at least the next two years and you get play them each twice a year), and some other rapscallions. If you're interested, here's the basics…

12 teams, 17-man roster, 9 players in active lineup (QB, RB, WR, TE, 2xRB/WR, RB/WR/TE, K, D/ST)

Two six-team divisions, top three in each division make playoffs, which run weeks 15-17. Division winners get byes in Week 15. East playoff champ faces West playoff champ for title in Week 17. East playoff runner-up faces West playoff runner-up for third place in Week 17.

$50 non-Swamp bucks with $300 for first, $120 for second, and $50.05 for third (the rest pays for CBS website - I don’t care for your complaints about them, as I have more practical experience regarding the many ways in which they suck, but we’re not setting up the league from scratch someplace else and the historical database makes for some fun clowning of owners past and present).

You will take over Sabo’s existing roster, from which you keep any two players with no penalty (I assure you, there are at least two players on the roster worth keeping). You can keep them for as many seasons as you like. The two keepers for this season will be due at midnight Eastern on Sunday, August 21.

15-round snake draft on Sunday, August 28 at 9:00pm Eastern.

Scoring is pretty standard, but some highlights are half-point PPR, 6 points for all TDs, lost points for turnovers and missed extra points, and yardage bonuses.

Let me know if interested or if you have any questions.

I'm in. I've even checked two keepers. Don't have to worry about what round they were drafted in etc, right? Just everyone keeps two and then the draft picks up afresh at that point less 24 players from the pool?

That's what I'm afraid of with the autodraft. They have QBs rated insanely high, I'll end up with 4 QBs before half the league has one.

I am still delighted to have gotten some kind of "welcome to the league" bounce of good fortune with the #1 pick in the initial round and see that Kelce was not kept. Pretty sure I need to go ahead and get him. One of the next 14 QBs who I wouldn't mind having will surely be there when it comes back around in 23 picks, I presume.

You can plug in your own rankings in any online platform. But auto-draft will still probably give you two kickers - both drafted too early.

Also, a snake draft should always be an even amount of rounds, otherwise it serves an advantage to the teams drafting earlier. Like the whole point of a snake draft is that it evens out.

I’ll figure it out tomorrow. I have Aaron Jones and CeeDee Lamb and the second pick. Kelce, Kamara, Davante Adams and a few more options on the table.

Some unusual rules, but mostly half point ppr. QBs weighted a little heavier. One RB, one WR two flex (1 RB/WR, 1 RB/WR/TE).
