Sidenote: Is The Miz from WWE the most successful Real World/Road Rules alum? Because if not, it has to be Duffy. Karamo is on Queer Eye. Kyle has his show on The NFL Network. And Jamie Chung from Real World San Diego is an actress.
Miz and Duffy are up there. Jacinda from London has been in a bunch of stuff as well.

I think part of me is afraid I might actually enjoy it and use that as an excuse to stay away. Probably the same for heroin, tbh. (Also I hate needles and like documentaries too much. If I save five hours a week watching crap that buys me five hours to watch another documentary about World War II.)

Standup comedian and podcaster Theo Von (Road Rules) is the most most successful in my eyes, but I doubt any metric could back that.

Miz tops them all. He is on TV almost every week. Has his own show with his wife. And, yes, WWE is scripted, but he has held multiple titles including the world heavyweight and has been one of the greatest IC champions ever.

And Theo Von is garbage.

Depends on the season, tbh.

I think after watching all but one of the Brit version and about to finish catching up on the US version, I've had my fill for awhile.

The contrast with the US v. Brit version is that the Brits primarily come from Essex and other blue collar type places and they sound pretty fucking stupid. Not that the US version doesn't have a few brickheads, but it just seems pretty pronounced with both speaking and appearance that the English folks are pretty trashy.

Don't bring Eric Nies (right?) into this group. He's got nothing on Michael Mizanin. The Marine 3-6 might just be the best acting for a straight to video release by any sports entertainment superstar ever.

Just going to reiterate, if you are putting enough time in to see people fornicate on the Brit version of Love Island, you're better off just watching porn or Skinemax.

It's truly not worth it for just watching people do stuff under the covers and in that weird night vision green-out.

They aren't going after it on every episode, not by a long shot. Not proud to be a resident expert on it, but trust me, I've seen 3 1/2 seasons of the Brit version.

Going back to Duffy, and his resignation....It was with the 9th kid (who apparently has been diagnosed with a heart defect in utero) that prompted him to resign? But he was just fine with leaving his wife at home with 8 kids to take care of?

And this was the guy who was complaining about living on a $174K congressional salary...

GOP Rep: I’m ‘Struggling’ On My $174K Salary (VIDEO)
Here’s what Duffy says about his salary:

I can guarantee you, or most of you, I guarantee that I have more debt than all of you. With 6 kids, I still pay off my student loans. I still pay my mortgage. I drive a used minivan. If you think I’m living high on the hog, I’ve got one paycheck. So I struggle to meet my bills right now. Would it be easier for me if I get more paychecks? Maybe, but at this point I’m not living high on the hog.

Duffy also said that he pays more in health care costs and retirement savings than he did when he was a district attorney before he ran for Congress. That said, Duffy said he’d support the idea of “public employees across the board” taking a compensation cut.
How about you wearing a condom for a change, rather then pumping out 9 kids....

So, I don't want to fall into the same trap as saying that poor folks shouldn't have so many kids, but... Don't have so many kids if you can't afford it???

That's a pretty amazingly tone deaf approach to all of this.

In summary: Fuck that guy.

Agreed.

I think it's a far cry to say "poor people" shouldn't be able to have one or two kids if they can't afford it, because the issue at that point is with society. Anyone who wants to should be able to earn enough money that they should be able to afford having a couple of kids.

Once you get to seven, eight, nine kids I don't want to hear a word from you about how expensive it is. (Just like I don't want to hear from some jerkoff driving a Hummer how much gas costs.)

And just out of curiosity, I found that his wife is 47 years old. A 9th kid? At 47? Jeez....

In which case maybe he should go to the church soup kitchen to save cash. Not like the salary would have come as a surprise.

Rich Lowry is thinking 'Now's my chance!' *

*Reference: During Palin's debate with Joe Biden in 2008, Rich Lowry, editor of National Review, wrote this:
I’m sure I’m not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, “Hey, I think she just winked at me.” And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America. This is a quality that can’t be learned; it’s either something you have or you don’t, and man, she’s got it.

1. Nothing will happen and that's a big deal. Laying the groundwork for "I will kill you if you try to take my gun" to be a legitimate and legal response to certain guns being banned.

2. Just look at this playing dress-up motherfucker.
