Similarly, when I heard the news my first thought was "what, did he piss off his neighbor again?"
My avatar corresponds on my place in the Swamp posting list with the all-time Home Run list. Number 45 is Paul Konerko with 439.

He's up fairly decently on Tom Tillis. If the Senate honestly stays Republican because of his grill photo then fuck North Carolina.

For those who haven't spent much time in NC, NC barbecue is smoked, usually with hickory wood. You don't typically make it on a grill, certainly not a gas grill. And hot dog buns and a spatula? And it's very much a you're-not-from-here tell if you use "barbecue" as a verb or to describe your grill.
Totally Kafkaesque

Revlimid was in a trial for the treatment of CLL while my father-in-law was in and out of the hospital dying of that same disease back in 07/08. Despite a ton of letters to Celgene (it’s based locally) and to local politicians and relevant charities who sent their own letters on his behalf he never got access to the medication. He died a couple of months before my youngest was born.
I don’t think this dude was in charge of the company back then, but I showed this to my wife and she took some small satisfaction in it.

There will also be one ballot dropoff location in the numerous Texas counties that have fewer than 10,000 people -- most of which will all be voting for Donald Trump.

I can't imagine being 54 and being charged with multiple felonies along with a 22 year old, and not have those felonies include sex and/or drugs.

I used to take the Amtrak between Ann Arbor and Kalamazoo/Portage. The tracks run very close to a prison in Jackson.

That did used to be the supermax prison in Michigan, but now it's Ionia. Truth is they'll probably end up in one of the minimum security joints like Newberry.Nonlinear FC wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 5:17 pm I used to take the Amtrak between Ann Arbor and Kalamazoo/Portage. Re: Random Politics
I hate myself for doing the math of the potential for sentencing if guilty on all charges. It adds up to 24 years, but they'd be a lot more likely to do 2.4 years in that case.

Yeah, I think that's about right though for the crime. But the thought of him even spending only 30 months in some shithole like MCS-Newberry or Alpena fills me with absolutely glee.DSafetyGuy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 6:57 pm I hate myself for doing the math of the potential for sentencing if guilty on all charges.
