Steve Schmidt is stepping down from the Lincoln Project. But he has a story to tell first. I hope he finds the means to get better and beat his depression.

Not only did Cuomo write a book about handling a crisis while he was handling the crisis, but he also had time to record the audiobook version.

Unbelievable.

They're both a couple of shit governors, but Florida's governor literally has his state open and running as though a pandemic doesn't exist right now.

A good point.

The Dakota governors are also complete dogshit.

Yup. I mean a legacy kid governor and Kimberly Guilfoyle's ex husband aren't exactly my choices for people with the best judgment, but this is the best we got.

There is zero chance of Newsom getting thrown out. The right wingers in Southern California would love to do it, but there isn't enough support. Especially without a looming popular replacement. (Gray Davis was deeply unpopular and Arnold Scharzaneggar was seen as a moderate, likable replacement.)

Newsom did a really stupid thing, going to a crowded Michelin-star restaurant in defiance of his own order. Outside of that, I think he's been fine.

McCarran International Airport is likely to be renamed for Harry Reid tomorrow leading Dave Weigel to quip it will be the first time something is renamed from a senator with a crime movie stand-in (Godfather Part II) for a senator with a crime movie stand-in (Casino).

So we shouldn’t have a commission to study an attempt to overthrow the government and murder Congresspersons? There’s a hot take.

Deadass, I'm so fucking petty that if I was president right now I'd demand and government official from Texas say "I'm a little bitch that wants secession, but a few inches of snow has me crawling back to Big Daddy Federal Government because I need help right now. Also, global climate change is real." before I'd send help.

Or at the very least roast the fuck out of them relentlessly before I did.

This is God's punishment to Texas because Mark Cuban stopped playing the National Anthem.

The FAA has to sign off which should be a technicality but next time you fly to LAS it will be Harry Reid International Airport.

I wonder if Schmidt is still planning to run as a Democrat for Mike Lee's Senate seat.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

She sounds like Nana leaving a comment on Trip Advisor when she went to The America Store to buy decorations for the 4th of July.

Fuck Dan Crenshaw...

Crenshaw Reloaded -
The Texas Congressman wants it both ways

Texas Congressman Dan Crenshaw has some deep thoughts about what ails right-wing politics these days.

There is, he says, way too much “performance,” rather than persuasion. Too much much grift; too much talking about “fighting” and “owning the libs in the snarkiest of fashions.”

In a column headlined, “What It Really Means To ‘Fight’” — published in the lib-owning Daily Wire — Crenshaw makes the case for a politics of reason and persuasion.

How about going to the White House to advocate for his constituents? How about meeting with Senators and Reps from the Great Plains i.e. other affected states to put together an aid package? How about being in contact with Texas state leadership to help coordinate relief efforts/crack the whip on the governor to get off his ass? Those seem like viable actions for a guy we pay $174K a year.
