Texas is not the greatest state and America is not the greatest country, Ted.
Edit:
His daughters are 10 & 13, btw. Not exactly the age where "Cancun" is your top vacation destination.

Re: Random Politics
They should give Trump is twitter back for one night. And if he rips into Cruz, he can keep it for more.

The Times has the group text where the trip was put together. Newsflash: Ted is still lying.

Ted Cruz’s Trip to Cancún Draws Fire Amid Texas’ Deep Freeze
Text messages sent from Ms. Cruz to friends and Houston neighbors on Wednesday revealed a hastily planned trip. Their house was “FREEZING,” as Ms. Cruz put it — and she proposed a getaway until Sunday. Ms. Cruz invited others to join them at the Ritz-Carlton in Cancún, where they had stayed “many times,” noting the room price this week ($309 per night) and its good security. The text messages were provided to The New York Times and confirmed by a second person on the thread, who declined to be identified because of the private nature of the texts.
Re: Random Politics
I bet Cruz hates a left wing nut like AOC is doing more for Texas then he is..
Re: Random Politics
Why didn’t this dumb shit just stay for the rest of the week and spend it tweeting about sunshine and chasing pussy? Anybody who would have been offended by that was already not going to vote for him. Everyone whose vote he is courting is going to think he’s weak for coming home. Talk about not having a plan.

Why do I see PA going red for Toomey seat? Kenyatta vs Fetterman in the primes, losers base won't back up the winner.

It looked like you did because your didn't use quotes.

Re: Random Politics
That might have been true in and before the 2016 election, but at this point Dem voters are pretty energized to oppose Trump and Trumpism and I expect them to stay that way.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Baa haa....I knew Cruz was going to show up on Hannity...
Re: Random Politics
My worry is if Fetterman wins the Primary the AA voters won’t support him after the video of him chasing the black jogger. That is getting press now. I expect it to get more press going forward. Makes me wonder why a AA is now running instead of the party supporting the LT Gov.Steve of phpBB wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 9:17 pmThat might have been true in and before the 2016 election, but at this point Dem voters are pretty energized to oppose Trump and Trumpism and I expect them to stay that way.
I hope Fetterman comes clean about the incident. Up until now he has avoided talking about it or has given a bullshit reason.

It's just incredible what these fuckers will suck on and swallow to support such incredibly awful people.

Re: Random Politics
Another major issue that folks seem to be forgetting is that Trump acolytes come with all the historically problematic issue of being extremists (they lose more often than not) with Trump not on the ballot in 2022. Huge turnout for Trump is not going to equate to the same turnout in 2 years.Steve of phpBB wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 9:17 pmThat might have been true in and before the 2016 election, but at this point Dem voters are pretty energized to oppose Trump and Trumpism and I expect them to stay that way.

Re: Random Politics
I have to think a dude as smart as him who chose to hitch themselves to Trump has some kind of safe backing.
Re: Random Politics
This doesn’t even crack the ten worst things Ted Cruz has done. Maybe not even the twenty worst.

Not gonna end him, but might as well forget about Rafael running for President in 2024.

Re: Random Politics
I don’t even agree there, depending on situation and opponent. Like Hawley is a climber and Graham is leveraged; there’s something else with Cruz where either he knows he has a path or I’m vastly overrating his position.

Re: Random Politics
Since the 2016 election, which is now quaint, Cruz has terrified me. He’s a horrific mix of intelligence, horrific stances and the willingness to totally shame himself for marginal gains.

Re: Random Politics
Ben Sasse is the one that scares the hell out of me. He's got that 'aw-shucks' thing down (I bet he watches Reagan videos every night), and he didn't fully drink the Trump Kool-Aid.
Re: Random Politics
Can we completely rule-out the possibility the Cruz’s were doing a “We’re The Milers” op, but Ted gave up on his real family half-way through and tuned CI against his wife and daughters? I mean there’s at least a 5% chance of this being true, right?

I doubt it. I mean, Texas is all sorts of stupid. I mean, this crisis is their own fucking deregulated fault, and the RW media is spinning this as a failure of green energy sources.tennbengal wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 10:25 amThat's not the point I was making. Optics and such. This is fatal.
