This was my thought when I saw Sessions lost. First big establishment Republican to throw himself behind Trump, and this should serve as a lesson to anyone considering working for Trump. He has absolutely zero loyalty, and will discard you and ruin your career like flipping a switch. He has done it to so many already, I can't fathom why anyone would throw their lot in with him. Trump tortured and humiliated Sessions, tried to pressure him into clearly unethical abuses of his office, and when Sessions showed a modicum of integrity, Trump destroyed his career. If you are going to work for Trump, fully expect he will force you to commit crimes and destroy the values of your office to serve his whims. There will be no rewards or appreciation, and you will be chewed up and spit out. And a good chance you'll be indicted and have to hope you have some leverage to get a pardon.

All that is true and all of that is the reason the federal government is a shitshow. You have fifth-string lackeys actually running the federal government because those are the only people stupid or desperate enough to want to work for Trump.

I'm pretty sure the takeaway of Sessions for most of those people will be increased loyalty rather than cautionary tale.

Also agree, though that's arguably the wrong lesson to take.

Arguably? Hell no, there is no argument, that is the wrong lesson to take.

Yeah. I'm sure Tuberville is also a pile of fuck, but Sessions is like 5 feet of uncut racism.

We're going to see a whole bunch of rats swan diving off the ship in October. It'll be too late for many of them. But by then we'll be over 200k dead and still likely double digit unemployment.

Well, there are some rumblings that this is to try to get out in front and prevent expanded voting for the general election via executive order if the COVID persists as seems likely. There was good turnout in a month and if people have two months or more to vote by mail it worries the GOP i suppose.

This shit saddens me:

The Supreme Court Just Stopped 1 Million Floridians From Voting in November

It's a salon article, so I hope it isn't as dire as it seems, but this is why polls don't matter to me.

He and his wife must be living separately, because NO woman would let a man she cared about leave the house dressed like that.

I mean, nothing matches. Who would vote for that asshole?

Bailout provisions based on bribes? I'm not certain that's exactly the kind of "free" they tout.

Oh shit, Lincoln Project targeting Susan Collins now. I'm surprised, as she is much more of pre-Trump mainline Republican who would very much comply with their agenda in a Post-Trump political landscape.

I think they're just as pissed as the rest of us for enabling and refusing to put a check on Trump's power.
