I think they had an ad targeting lots of Republicans a couple weeks back. So this is also a delight.

Susan Collins is fucking trash and needs to be taken out.

Wow, I bet that comment would really disappoint Susan Collins and give her a lot to consider.

I was told today I was giving them too much credit by saying it’s a mutual show. Republicans are “too dumb to police the internet”, to their advantage, and the Zuckerbergs play along with no changes, to their advantage. Drop a few dumb quotes that overshadow anything of substance, let John Oliver do a hilarious segment on it and everyone moves on until it’s done all over again in 9 months.

I really love Cody's Showdy. He's a far more entertaining Kyle Kulinski, but just as poignant.

Johnnie, if he could cut that down to 5 minutes, he made some incredibly important parts. Normally, I just can't sit through his annoying voices and gimmicky schtick to hear him out. It's like he is trying to be a hipster Olbermann, and it's insufferable.

ETA: Nevermind, y'all already covered this in the Ball of Confusion Thread.

Damn, any reports on what caused the explosion or what exploded? Some crazy footage out there. I'll I've gathered is that firefighters were on the scene fighting a fire before the explosion, and 10 firemen are still missing. That white ring of smoke around the dark plume of smoke is super ominous. Here is a great video showing the damage up close and surrounding area.

Not surprising. When she said she was a pro-Trump democrat, her own party gave up on her.

Don’t even get how she won the primaries.

That’s not really how it happened at all. But she shouldn’t have won.

Do you think Booker would be doing better against McConnell? I didn't follow their primary closely at all, but Booker seemed like a guy Dems could get excited about, while McGrath seems like a bland Republican running as a Dem. If Mitch was as unpopular as he should be in KY, a bland Rep running as a Dem might be the perfect foil, but alas we are looking at 6 more years of the scumbag turtle.

I think booker would have been running a strong ground game. I have no idea what McGrath is doing. I’ve been very surprised at the lack of anything. That said it would be uphill for either for whatever reason. I’ll expand tomorrow.

Mcgraths first mistake last time around was claiming to be agree with Trump on certain things. I don't actually think she did, but someone told her that was the only way to unseat Barr. And she almost did it. But now she has to campaign statewide, and I don't see her getting out very much. However, I don't think the party gave up on her as was mentioned. She had a fundraising advantage and held on to beat Booker by name recognition. If there had been two more weeks, Booker would have won, but you can't blame McGrath for that.

I think her biggest issue now is that she is very uninspiring. She has no record to run on, and that certainly isn't an issue for Mitch. There has been one good campaign ad, IMO, and thankfully it didn't focus on her being a former pilot. It hit McConnell on unemployment, which is fair. Mitch has done very little for kentucky's at large population. He isn't hugely popular anywhere, but for some reason - corporate interests I guess - he keeps winning easily.

And again, she is uninspiring. To run against McConnell and be the uninspiring one is hard to do!

The reporting I came across initially said something silly about a fireworks warehouse. Later in the day, reporting alluded to the fact that Hezbollah controls part of that port area. Went on to say that Israel had conducted efforts in Iraq to destroy weapons caches in the past. This sure seems like something more than a warehouse mishap.

I saw some of that, but nearly all of it was coming from right wing sites without corroboration, so I just decided to wait for more information.

At first, I just assumed Trump was spouting off bullshit saying it was an attack that caused the explosion. Now, I wonder if the Dotard got a report and is so stupid he accidentally leaked intel at a press conference. I do think the intel community must hold stuff back from him that they would share with a normal President, as he caused problems early on by blabbing Israeli intel to the Russians when Kislyak was in the Oval Office.
