That is the worst one for me. Most of the Gyro places, like all ethnic places, are manned by Mexicans or Central Americans so if you pronounce gyro the greek way, they look at you funny and have no idea what you are asking for.

The greek place down Springfield Ave into Stirling or whatever town refuses to do gyros at dinner. They'll only do a gyro platter which is a deconstructed gyro with fries costing $6 more. They can fuck off.

Looking at Google images, she was completely underrated throughout her career. What a sick body. Perfect leg. She still has great legs and looks better at 47 then in her early day. Could just be the 80s hair and clothes though.

The Googles led me to see that there is a made for TV remake of 12 Monkeys coming out. Why? What a great movie. The only time I went to a movie and most of the theater booed. And they weren't Boo-ruuuce. One friend and I were completely blown away, third friend thought we were crazy, he hated it. We made him watch it on video, and he got it the second time around. My sister walked out of the theater when she went.

When it comes to extracting money from the wallets of people who don't even want to do business with them, Ticketmaster is champion.

So, I get the good news first - the San Jose Sharks will host one of their home games at the 49ers' new stadium, an outdoor game - cool! Then, the Sharks send a note advising that season ticketholders do not automatically get tickets to this game. But, we do get access to a pre-sale, where we can buy tickets online through Ticketmaster.

The tickets are gawdawfully overpriced, but I suck it up and decide to get 3 $100 seats for my wife, daughter and me. I'm all set when the tickets open for sale at 10:00. I put in my pre-sale code and the amount I would pay per ticket. But, instead of letting me choose the section and seats, it just says "here are the best seats available for you, section x seats xyz - do you want them?". Well, fuck. Those aren't close to being the best seats in that price range, and I got in right when the window opened. But, what could I do? I said yes and bought them.

Then, they tell me there is a $12 per seat service charge. Then, after I put in my credit card info, they tell me that I'm being charged $10 for standard mail delivery (allow 10 to 14 days). And, on top of it all, another $4.95 processing fee. So, all told, I pay $350.95 for my $300 of tickets.

Wotta racket.

What fucking bullshit. In a stadium with two to three times the capacity of HP. That ain't on ticketmaster--that is just fucking over your fan base.

I got my postseason tix email today, the Giants are practically apologetic that they are asking me for money in the middle of the season. Any cash for unused playoff tix they will refund or if you leave it in your account for next year, they give a 2% bonus on the balance amount. 2% interest for five months. This organization treats us like valued customers, not just lip service while extracting every possible dollar.

Car broke today, fortunately only a battery. Tow dude took it to his shop to get it quoted. I gave him a list of things I needed for them to quote.

Quoted $210 for the battery...$135 for the battery itself and a "half hour of labor". Yeah, suck a fucking dick, guy. Just sell me the battery and I'll put it in.

Also quoted $85 to recharge the AC. The fucking canister is $24 at Autozone. SNAKES.

Yeah, battery on most cars is literally about the the easiest thing to install. Half an hour of labor my ass. Most places like AutoZone or Pep Boys will just put the damn thing in for you since it takes all of 5 minutes or less for a mechanic.

Slept like shit last night because I got a $900 bill in the mail yesterday from the HMO that I had for 2 months prior to my work healthcare kicking in. Called them today and it turns out there's just a schism between the Colorado healthcare marketplace and the providers, and my cancellation from 7 months ago hadn't yet been processed, so they had kept billing me my monthly premiums. Thanks Obama!

Downloading Adobe Creative Cloud package...this is a lot of shit. And I even unchecked all the stuff I knew I wouldn't use, at least not right now. Been grinding since yesterday and it is just now at 50%. Granted, it apparently went to sleep last night after four hours...thought I had it set to not turn off while plugged in but oops. It has gotten 14% worth since 7:30, so I hope i am able to get it downloaded today.

Yes. Yes it is. I'm up to 65% though, so it looks like I should be able to get it downloaded today. There doesn't seem to be a "Pause" option to be able to continue it at home if it doesn't so that sucks.

I did set up my package with a couple of the new programs I haven't used before, so that might hurt me a little bit.
