It's distracting indeed. For as much Asian music (mostly Korean and Hong Kong) that I listen too, the Korean girlband/boyband is just noise. And trying to be sexy and cute at the same time just feels creepy.

I prefer solo artists, boy or girl, either came in on their own and branching off from a girlband/boyband.

I like a simple song like this over a loud sexy girlband.

Lots of K-Pop has meaning such as movie and drama soundtracks. But this stuff from girl bands is mostly just Rave or EDM with no meaning.

The images involve references to horror films, images of slavery and hints at sexual perversion.

It is the dissonance between the two that makes the video so compelling.
