I agree with Hellmann's superiority, but there are lots of NASCAR fans (and other Southerners) who will only go with Dukes.
I agree that other mustards, like brown, Dijon, deli, etc. are better. However, for yellow mustard, I prefer French's. Also, for staples, nothing compares to Heinz.
Ooh, also, I love Crystal hot sauce. Tabasco is great as well, but given the choice, I go Crystal.
Until everything is less insane, I'm mixing weed with wine.

I stand proud...and apparently alone.
Sir Kensington rules the ketchup world...the older I get the more Heinz tastes like sugar. I also discovered Portland ketchup when in OR a couple years ago...its my wife's favorite.
I would like expensive whiskey.
We only have beer & wine...
What am I, 12?

There is no need for yellow mustard. Ever. Going to have to say the same about Tabasco. All vinegar.

Is there any cold cut roast beef that is worth a damn other than Boar's Head, and if so, where might I procure it? I'm not talking about cook your own and buy a meat slicer, is there any other way to get roast beef that is not crap for just a few bucks and with minimal effort?
I like DiLusso deli meat. Pretty much the only sandwich stuff I buy
This might be being too obvious, but if you have a quality local butcher/deli shop in your town, that is the way to go.
I live across the street from a grocery store

Is it weird to prefer different hot sauce for different applications?

Not weird at all. I have 5 or 6 open hot sauces in my fridge. Certain sauces pair better with certain meals. I used to have Cholula on hand at all times, but just recently fell out of favor with it.

So iIve been doing a low-carb/high protein kinda dealio the past two weeks to kind of kickstart my weight training, and today's lunch was a spam salad with a vinaigrette, some cottage cheese, and some pickled veggies, using homegrown tomatoes with some regular onion and cucumbers. Flat fucking delicious, every thing was.

Not sure how, but smoked meats remain insanely underrated. As soon as I get the yard/deck fixed and do everything we need to do inside the house and pay all of that off and ... I'm totally getting a smoker and spending full weekend days just sitting with it.

Had an absolutely delicious beef noodle soup at a Thai restaurant today. Very similar to pho. I think I need to make some beef stock and try to figure out the recipe.
I mean, I know it's cute to think I could even possible get a good reuben in Kentucky, but we can all agree that getting a Reuben at Subway is a BAD idea, right?

Serious question. Do Jewish delis exist in Lexington? How about in Kentucky outside of Lexington and Louisville? I think it often surprises people in the northeast that Jewish people are a rare novelty in the rural south and west. In my hometown of 50,000 people, I knew of only four Jewish families. But my german-heritage mother could make a mean Rueben sandwich!

Someone needs to tell that to AAFES (The retailer for Army and Air Force bases worldwide), MCX (retailer for the Marine Corps), and NEXCOM (retailer for the Navy). Subway is their crown jewel of places allowed on military installations. (There are two on Kirtland, three on Ramstein, for example.)
I wish I could find a comprehensive, up-to-date list of what places that are in partnership, but the best I can find is a 2009 pdf when I Google search. It's certainly outdated.

There is one left that I know of, downtown. I don't make it there often and in fact it's probably been 5+ since I did. There used to be a great one about 2 miles from where I live, but it closed 2-3 years ago. That was actually the first place I ever had a Reuben and fell in love with them.
In my town we had one Jewish family of which I am aware. Facebook friends with the son! I'm so progressive. We had no black students at my high school outside of a transfer student who was there for one year, though.
