At the height of Rickrolling, "Never Gonna Give You Up" had 39 million hits on YouTube. To the nearest $1,000, how much money did Rick Astley make in royalties from just those views?

This game is unique among MLB games played in the 21st century. Why?

Three pitchers on the same team with the derivative of Dennis pitched on a losing team.

Only complete game pitched by a visiting team pitcher at Coors Field?

Nobody yet. Duff's may well be unique, but I don't think B-R measures that.

Probably not it, but I'd wager that's the only game ever that Damon Minor had 4 hits!

Three teammates hitting a pair has to be pretty unique, right?

I'd have to check on those. They're not what I'm looking for.

I knew "this game was unique" would not be the best phrased question about baseball....

Clue: It involves one player and one statistic. It might not pop off the page, but it is the only instance since the 1985 season. Between 1913 and 1970, it happened over 400 times.

Nope. Surprisingly, there have been ten 9-inning CG's with 5+ ER since 2000.

Does it involve Mike Hampton pinch hitting?

Larry Walker appears to have thrown out two guys at first. But I don't think that happened 400 times in the 20th Century.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Yeah, was thinking that, but don't think a pitcher pinch-hitting for a position player would be that unique. Though maybe.

Didn't Hampton pinch-hit for Neagle, another pitcher? That would be even less unique.

Not sure how I would find that on B-R. If you search for PH appearances by someone who is normally a pitcher, you actually get tons of hits, because relievers who come to the plate are treated in the box score as pinch hitters. (And since many of them are double switches, they are pinch hitting for a position player). In other words, not what I'm looking for.

There's your gold star.

I love how it happened too. Dusty let him hit in the top of the 9th, up by a bazillion.

The all time record (1913-) for PAs by a pitcher is 10, set by the two starting pitchers in this game:

It was pretty efficient to throw a complete 5-run game in only 114 pitches.
