To me it is the statement at the end about despite being upset, insulted, etc....we realize the attention and will find some way to sell some stuff related to it.

Two bits of outrage...

1)
Arsenal face prospect of having to leave Mkhitaryan at home for Baku final

Leaving aside the apparent nightmare that fans are having getting to Baku - UEFA has not yet assured the team that Mkhitaryan will be safe in Azerbaijan because he is Armenian.

2) Ruben Loftus-Cheek will miss Europa League final after injuring ankle

And how did he get hurt?

Playing in an exhibition game in Foxborough!

Hope Chelsea was able to bank some money from this friendly match. There's a moral here about the price of greed.

Apparently Sarri was pretty pissed about this scheduling, even before they made the Europa final.

Awful injury for RLC who was really shaping up to be a young star for Chelsea (and England). It's Chelsea's second ruptured achilles for a young start (Callum Hudson-Odoi) in just a few weeks.

But it wasn't a game for greed. It was to raise money for anti-semitism (and other bigotry) causes.

I have no dog in the fight (though felt myself pulling for arsenal JUST a bit) but the second half of this Final has been pretty wide open.

Fuck, looks like another year of Thursday games...

As bad as the score line was, I felt Arsenal controlled most of the game, and did little with the ball. They just couldn't find any creativity or decisive passes in the offensive third. If only they had a guy like Mesut Ozil to open up a defense or sprinkle in a moment of brilliance. Ozil's name was in the starting XI, he was just completely invisible. Ramsey would have been perfectly suited to play in that game, but he is hurt. I was screaming for Iwobi at halftime, and he instantly changed the game when he came on, it was just too late. BTW, how perfect was it that the announcer kept praising Iwobi, but mentioned that he isn't a good finisher or shooter, then less than a minute later, he uncorks a rocket into the far corner from 25 yards out.

All that said, Chelsea clearly deserved the win. They controlled 15 minutes, and got 3 goals. They showed moments of class, and capitalized when they did. I still love Giroud, and I can't hate him despite him being the catalyst for Chelsea. Just hoping Arsenal can somehow summon up a quality central defender.

The African Champions League final was abandoned due to a row over the Video Assisted Referee (VAR) system.
The 60,000 spectators inside the stadium waited for an update for 95 minutes, before the referee awarded the victory to the home team, who retained the title.

Craziness in the UEFA Nations League Semis. The Swiss are down 1-0 v. Portugal (host country), and have an appeal for a foul in the box (should be a penalty kick), but play goes on. Portugal go all the way down, and their guy is clearly fouled in the box (penalty kick). The ref awards the Portugal penalty kick, but then checks VAR and essentially goes back in time and awards the Swiss a PK.

Talk about encroachment at a penalty kick, I counted 8 players in the box before the kick was taken
