Yeah, probably should have vetted that one after it sounded too "good" to be true.

Nice of Jason Whitlock to pose for the photo, though.

Allegedly drunk woman arrested after 38 sheep killed in hit-and-run

h/t Gawker, and their take was pretty good:

Woman arrested in a hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit…

"Save today, the Tom Raper way!"

Raper RV was a long-time staple of Cincinnati and Dayton TV and radio advertising.

And Lima. My grandparents got the NBC affiliate out of there and I remember cracking jokes revolving around changing his name to "Raped'er".

Random trivia. Lima was at one point the smallest DMA (TV market) in the United States. But changes to DMAs have since made it something like only the 8th or 9th smallest.

Wasn't there a store in Richmond also? What was the place off 69 near the 28 exit?

Yep, that was the place. I think the story I linked indicated the sales lot was 60 acres in size. That's pretty freaking massive.

I always thought it was the only store. Just assumed they advertised to all 3 major metros because of the proximity.

I think you are right. I just know the commercials always played on WTTV during Ma & Pa Clampett and Planet of the Apes.

The one off 69 just north of the 28 exit was a giant lumberjack holding a sign. Maybe it was just an ad for Raper's RV.

Was that after the TD was overturned? Because a Philly crowd would have skipped right to murder if that had happened at the Vet.

Grew up in Indiana, so I was very familiar with the commercials. I went with a friend's family to the Grand Canyon in the early 90s and saw a commercial for them while we were staying at the Best Western there. I guess it's an interesting target demographic, but can't imagine that advertising paid off well.

Perhaps, but I can understand how that advertising could work, too. Ma and Pa Kettle from Fort Wayne go on vacation to the Grand Canyon, are blown away by what they see and decide their retirement will be spent in an RV, going from one national park to another. Plus, I can't imagine the advertising rates for Flagstaff and communities in northern Arizona are terribly expensive. Hell, the profit from one RV might pay for a month's worth of radio spots there.

Yeah, that's true. Didn't stop to think about how relatively cheap the ad rates might be.

Actor Nicolas Cage returns stolen dinosaur skull he bought

I like the awkwardness of this one, because they had to include the "he bought" to make to make it clear Cage didn't personally steal it.

From Urban Dictionary:
Someone who puts off doing work and masturbates instead. procrastinator + masturbator.
Will didn't even do his project last night he stayed up all night jerking it, he's such a procrasturbator.
Must be a hell of an article.
