Which raises the question "What goes best with a burger?" Beer being the single correct answer, I will exclude drink options. To omit Sybian's responses I will exclude anything that requires silverware. To keep it relevant it must be found on a fast food menu somewhere.

Onion rings.

Potato salad would be an underrated choice here.

I mean, if you told me i could only pick one thing to ever have with a burger for the rest of my life, I suppose I'd go fries. But it always depends on the restaurant for me. There's a place next to my office where the onion rings are worlds better than the fries. Then there's a place that makes homemade chips so i get those there.

I don't think I'd want to eat anything other than fries or onion rings with a burger.

And I think HaulCitgo's criteria exclude potato salad.

I didn't see that, but that's bullshit. To me burger and potato salad just like being at a barbecue. People don't be eating fries with burgers that you cook out on your grill.

I know this is going to turn into the whole "you ask for NO bacon???" but ... I don't think potato anything is an ideal side for a burger because the roll makes it carb + carb.

(On that note, its worth pointing out my ideal onion ring is minimally breaded. Google "Kream and Kone Cape Cod onion rings" for an example.)

If the burger is on a steamed bagel, then what?

When I grill a burger at home, I like to have pork and beans as a side. But, I never get that when I'm out, because pork and beans always tastes like bum at a restaurant.

i got called a "disgusting stoner fuck" at whataburger at 330am last night cause i put fries bbq sauce and season salt on top of my burger then dipped it in my milkshake and ate it....my point is, its 330am at fucking whataburger....why WOULDNT i be stoned?

The chicken sandwich at Popeye's is easily the best fast food chicken sandwich.

At Love Field for a connection so figured I’d have Chick-Fil-A for the first time in about 15 years and I don’t get the hype. It’s good but not any better than Wendy’s chicken sandwich. I should have got Whataburger. Buyers remorse.

The chick fil as here in town are far superior to Wendy’s. I’ve never had Popeyes Sammie because I always get spicy tenders or leg/wing combo.

I definitely feel like I need to try the Popeyes sandwich now. I usually get the tenders there.

Now I’m just kinda angry there’s no Whataburger in Las Vegas.
