Obviously the McDonalds version is whatever you think of McDonalds, but conceptually its a pretty great burger and probably the one I make most at home. Pickles, diced white onions, american + thousand island = very good.

y it seems obvious why i'd never had one - and i certainly had my huge share of fast food as a kid in the 80s but back then the thought of onions or pickles on a burger was "gross" to me. now? pile it all on.

(those fries are just gross and completely flavourless tho - and i know i heard a podcast within the last few yrs that addressed that issue; they completely changed the recipe, used to be cooked in some sort of fat?)
