Not the lead singers first band?

Meat Puppets had such an underrated one-hit in the 90s.

(And I don't keep fucking notes. I did a search because I could have sworn I posted at some point about how Backwater rocks, because it does, and because I could have sworn MP have come up before, and they have, but apparently I didn't. All of Too High To Die is great. Yay 1994.)

I felt aswirl with warm secretions.

So you know on Spotify you can see what your connections are listening to?

The other night, a guy I used to work with was listening to this playlist:

Every Live Dark Star On Spotify: Grateful Dead 1967-1978

Love me some Dark Star. I only listen to the classic country, funk, and morning jazz playlists on Spotify though.

I was deep into the Meat Puppets around like 95-96, Up On The Sun is in the knapsack of desert island discs.

The new Margo Price is really good. More rocki-ish this time...produced by Sturgill Simpson.

Wasn't a big fan of the first couple singles from it, but the one I heard today kicked a lot of ass.

Surprise MMJ today too!

Also, a release by a band who has maybe done more to influence my musical taste than any other band - The Jayhawks. I got Tomorrow the Green Grass through Columbia House on my birthday 1995 and I was hooked upon first listen. It was my first real intro to that genre. It led that winter to discovering Wilco, Son Volt, Uncle Tupelo and the greatness that is "alt-country".

I pre-ordered the Margo Price, but have only heard the couple that were already out. Just received the whole download. I like that woman - she's got attitude.

Hook that post to my veins, Giff. I love all those bands. I came real close to putting a Jayhawks song on my 1995 playlist. I chatted with Gary Louris at a gig once.

I like the new single I’ve heard, I also almost included one of their songs on my 1992 list, and if the rematch actually happens I will be including a song on my version of a 1995 list.
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.
