I haven't had a chance to listen to the new Tyler, the Creator. But the other three are fantastic as is the new Modest Mouse.

That's the one I've listened to most. I like it. HGM is good as well. I kind of feel like all HGM is between a 6&8 on a 10 scale.

He has more than one song! Some are 6, others 7, and quite a few 8. Maybe even a couple 8.5.

Had a couple of nights in a row earlier this spring where I woke up with Sanctuary in my head. That was weird. I had heard it on the radio plenty but I didn't have strong feelings for the song one way or the other so not sure why I picked it out.

In case none of that made sense to you, Kanye had a listening party for his new album at the stadium on Thursday night I think. The soccer game was yesterday (Saturday). Yes he is living in the MLS visitors locker room. Columbus had to find a different locker room for the game.

I'm very impressed with this album (Sour) by Olivia Rodrigo. It's reminiscent of Billie Eilish's album. It's amazing to have these teenage girls who are such good songwriters. Eilish, Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift are/were all very good songwriters before they even graduated high school.

What’s the non-cynical (at best) reason this is on the main NBC News Twitter account?

Is clickbait non-cynical? Less cynical than whatever you're implying?
On TikTok, the hashtag "#OliviaRodrigoMerch" has been viewed more than 15 million times, although not all of the videos using that tag are speaking negatively of Rodrigo's items.

At this point, unlike the Paste Indie Folk one, I'm really regretting this decision, but will power through.
This actually got really good for the most part from 70-51, but #50 is infuriating - Tim Buckley - Starsailor. There's no way people fucking enjoyed this shit without the help of drugs and zero way it should ever be considered one of the best albums of that decade.

I love reggae.

I love dub.

A lot of you guys don't, but if you are high tonight, you'd do a lot worse than listening to this, the best dub album I've heard in quite a while.

It's their best yet I think.
A couple of reviews of Sturgill Simpson's album mentions QotSA as having similar sounds so I started checking them out a couple of days ago. Really enjoy it. I think Songs for the Deaf is my favorite so far, but I hven't made it through everything.
I have a man crush on Josh Homme.
Josh Homme in some shit right now. His 5 and 10 year old sons had a restraining order filed on their behalf, but it's since been denied. So either their mother Brody Dalle of the Distillers, Josh's wife for 15 years, is making up a lot of stuff post divorce, or there's just not enough evidence to grant the protective order. Either way, it's a mess that doesn't seem like it's going away anytime soon.

I was reading the lastest 'Number Ones' column on Madonna's 'Vogue': The Number Ones: Madonna’s “Vogue” and it got me to thinking about songs that have an iconic '2 or 3 word intro', and the only other that I came come up with is the 'Dearly Beloved...' from Prince's 'Let's go crazy'. When you hear that, or 'Strike A Pose', you know exactly what's coming next.

And the fishnet top that Madonna wears in the video? Yowza...

Are any of you guys familiar with Billy Strings? I just recently found out that the nephew of one of my best friends plays banjo in his band. Funny thing, this guy (his name is Bill Failing (unfortunate last name)) was a musical prodigy as a kid - went to Berklee Music Institute with banjo as his primary instrument.

Sad/poignant thing - My friend's wife died of cancer two weeks ago - she was the same age I am. Bill Failing was on tour out here with Billy Strings and stopped by their home to see her and play for her in her backyard. She died the next day. My friend teared up telling me about it.
