If not in an RV, there are some very cool roads as you move into the Smokey's.

Wha? Been pondering a move to Asheville but I might get the kids taken away.

My kids have been with us to Sierra Nevada, Pisgah, Wedge, Highland, Asheville Brewing, Wicked Weed, New Belgium, and Lookout. Never had an issue with doing so. Wedge is a little small for kids, and Wicked Weed and Asheville Brewing are basically brewpubs/restaurants, but the others listed have a ton of outdoor space (Sierra Nevada, New Belgium, and Highland, especially). We generally don't stay past 7 or 8 at night.
Until everything is less insane, I'm mixing weed with wine.

Yeah, I've been to all of these (sans kids), but can confirm. Would echo not bothering with Wedge though as it's not very big and not much for kids to do there or certainly a lot less than the other places. Pisgah's a surprising good one for visiting with kids as is Highland.

If you're looking to get off the beaten path a bit and want to visit some place with a great beer list and which is 100 percent kid friendly and awesome, check out this "private club" on the French Broad River. "Membership" is only $5. Lots of outdoor area and stuff for kids to do.

I can't tell if you are for real on this one.

I really don't care if a small brewery hits it big and gets bought out, especially when it comes to visiting their joint. I don't care if Magic Hat got bought out, I'm hitting that brewery every time I'm in Burlington.
