I'm guessing I was the only person here who bought the Jordan Concords when they were released yesterday

Has anyone purchased a Coravin (the wine preserver thing that has a ton of ads on cable news) or a related item. Worth it?

Looking at something along those lines as a Christmas gift and I've gotta think there's a better option out there than paying $200 for a Coravin unless it really is the shit.

We saw a ton of them in Napa. The nicer models have an Argon cartridge. I'd say it's a great gift for someone who is really into cellaring wine and wants to be able to share/taste some high dollar bottles without the need to bust the whole thing open, but if you're looking for something to keep a normal bottle for a few days longer, it's way overkill.

Hoping to tap into Swamp experience here. I'm looking to buy a better set of speakers for my computer than the current shitbox $25-ish ones I have, but don't want to lay out $200 for the Beats/Bose-type ones I saw at the store.

So any recommendations on something more in the $50 to $75-ish range that actually can kick out some decent sound?

Can anyone recommend a pair of earbud headphones that 1) cost less than $100 and 2) will last more than a few weeks before they stop working on one side like the last 10 pairs I've had?

If you’re ok with wired, I love these. On my third pair, but that’s over more than a decade.

By no means do I use them every day, but I've had these for about a year and they're fine. I use them primarily if not exclusively when running.

So I use those (or maybe a slightly nicer version) on a daily basis. Pretty much have them around my neck as I move through the day. I originally bought a really nice pair of JayBirds because they were supposed to be waterproof (I destroy electronics based on sweating at the gym/on runs). They burned out very quickly. The only reasons that the Anker die is the battery eventually goes. For $20 or $30 I don't mind replacing them every 9-12 months.

I'm with Wlu on the sweat issue. I have some cheapos at my desk that are fine because i don't sweat at my desk. But workout headphones go bad much quicker. Or they did back when I worked out. I have a decent pair of Samsung Level wraparound bluetooth at home for yard work. looks like they are $35 or so. The neck thing may be a dealbreaker.

I use these. I'm on my second pair, first one lasted a little over 2 years. But for $20, they are pretty good.

That's when what seemed like something that was cool and funnily ironic becomes just plain stupid.
