A.1. sauce was invented in England in 1824 by a chef to King George IV. It was originally treated as a general condiment, and not marketed as "steak sauce" until over a century later.

Remoulade sauce was originally used, in the New Orleans area, to cover up the smell of tainted meats. Now, they hopefully just use it as a condiment.

Just my opinion, but I think that a person who puts steak sauce on a good piece of meat is not one fit for polite company.

Yes, definitely. I do not eat a lot of steaks, but when a server asks me if I want steak sauce, I ask what is wrong with the steak.

Steak sauce isn't my first choice, but I like sauce on steak. Even good steak. Preferably horseradish. Sauce is great.

To be clear, I'm not referring to a demi glace, reduction or sauce that a restaurant puts on a particular menu item. I'm talking about A-1 or Heinz 57, etc.

A.1. is good on hamburgers or meatloaf, and underrated on non-meat sides like rice or potatoes, but yeah, it should never go on an actual good steak.

Houdini once did the basic "look, I'm taking off my thumb" trick in front of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes. Doyle was absolutely dumbfounded and sincerely believed Houdini had supernatural powers.

The Masters Theme
1.) Only written in 1981
2.) Hay Lyrics
3.) Written by David Loggins...2nd cousin to Kenny

Well, it's springtime in the valley
On Magnolia Lane
It's the Augusta National
And the Master of the game

Who'll wear that green coat
On Sunday afternoon
Who'll walk that eighteenth fairway
Singin' this tune

Oh, Augusta
Your dogwoods and pines
They play on my mind like a song
Oh, Augusta
It's you that I love
It's you that I miss when I'm gone

Well, it's Watson and Byron Nelson
And Demaret, and Player, and Snead
And it's Amen's Corner
It's Hogan's perfect swing
It's Sarazen's double eagle
At the fifteenth In Thirty-Five
And the spirit of Clifford Roberts
That keeps it alive

Oh, Augusta
Your dogwoods and pines
They play on my mind like a song
Oh, Augusta
It's you that I love
It's you that I miss when I'm gone

It's the legions of Arnie's Army
And the Golden Bear's throne
The wooden-shafted legend of Bobby Jone
