So these guys are crying about getting kicked out when they had fake credentials? Fuck off, they deserve to be in jail for this. You can't let a bunch of clowns into the press pool to interview players during Super Bowl week. And the idiot posts an interview saying he plans on going to the game anyways? I really hope they make security aware.

I have no educated opinion of Barstool, but what little I've seen of these guys, they seem like hipster frat boys douches that try way too hard to be cool, relevant (in an ironic way) or funny. Maybe they are legit media and maybe I would like them, but from what I've seen, I have no desire to see more of them. I assume Im aged out of their demographic, and maybe too old to get them, but they just seem like assholes.

I'm completely baffled they had fake credentials because when the company was sold and moved to New York they seemed to have a stink of "Real Media." They have legit A+ guests on their podcasts. Plus they went to Atlanta in a sponsored tour bus.

As for who they cater to it's always the college crowd plus the late 20s/early 30s group. Portnoy is in his 40s now, which makes it kinda weird. Seriously, outside of Pardon My Take I couldn't give a shit less about them.

Portnoy got arrested earlier for his protest in NFL NY headquarters, so I understand him getting kicked out, which probably affected the credentials for the entire company.

The NFL might want to rethink their dealings with PMT people --they're extremely successful at promoting the NFL to the demographic the NFL seeks and they have good relationships with a lot of NFL players and personnel. Not too many media members succeed at making NFL players and coaches seem likable, and they do. Maybe this is the NFL's way to push the PMT guys to ditch barstool.

Barstool's method of defense is to attack the messenger, and Deadspin seems to make that pretty easy for them. It seems Deadspin is only noticed (well at least by me) when they screw up or when they attack Barstool.
