The city of Toronto gets to appoint a couple people to the Board of Directors of the Hockey Hall of Fame. It was recently disclosed that in December, they appointed noted drunk and crack-smoker, Rob Ford.

The team needs a overhaul. They are lazy, uncoachable, and gutless.

I agree tho, it will never happen... I seriously can't see a big name coach coming to Pittsburgh with these prima-Donas coach killers on the roster.

Sitting in the SaddleDome we couldn't not believe the Sens came back.

Then later a Go Oilers chant started.

Unreal. Flames are 2 points from the playoffs!

Pens are really screwing up what could be some great eastern matchups. Does anyone not want to see Boston at Montreal or a rematch from two years ago of the Islanders and Penguins?

Caps appear to be loose going into the playoffs....Pranking rookies and beating up on Beantown.

which means they are going to go out in the 1st round in 7 games like most years

Rooting against your team in a game during a season they're making the playoffs is lots of fun.

Every time a Pittsburgh team sucks or disappoints its always because they are gutless cowards who don't play the game right or some shit.

24 straight trips to the postseason for the Red Wings. This one will be a very short one.

No way we'll ever see a team make 20+ straight postseasons again in our lifetimes. With SJ not making it this year, I think the next longest streak is the Pens at 7-ish?

ETA: Looked it up. Pens at 8 and Bruins at 7. And obviously one of those streaks is likely over after this year.

You don't think a team can finish in the top 3 of a 5 team division 20 times in a row (and sometimes top 4)?

Aren't there a minimum of 7 teams in each division?

I mean, if the rules change to expand the playoffs to 10 teams in each conference or some shit like that maybe, but I'll stand by my statement. No team (including those with active streaks) will make it 20 straight years again in our lifetimes.

Congrats on making the playoffs, Degen! Now, you can start working up the bile hatred for Vancouver (not too hard for Calgary people). Which city will be the one rioting and burning couches in the street in a couple weeks?

All y'all can argue about your teams in the playoffs and yet only 2 teams this year are 100% meeting their goals. Whoever wins the Cup (yawn)...

and your Buffalo Sabres.

Poignant. Particularly with hockey players, it's surprising how often guys who seem like asses when they're on the ice seem like really great guys when they're off the ice.
