It's midnight for America(n), huh?

I don't feel like jumping on a guys back, even during a loose ball, should be legal.

To be fair, tOSU keeps kicking the game right back to the Flyers. Very gritty intentional foul to set the dynamic for the last 2.5 minutes (in Dayton's favor.)

ETA: until Flyers give it right back. This is hideous, yet exciting.

ETAA: is there just no such thing is as traveling in hoops anymore? Just shuffle your feet, then take another two steps.

ETAAA: Had Dayton used the clock/ball discipline they've shown the last two possessions when tied, for the one possession they had with a four point lead, this game would be well in hand. Now, miss two FTs. My goodness, why would anyone ever want to coach college hoops?

I'm sure they will reach double figures before the half is out. Well, kinda sure.

Minute to go, 66 seconds left. Five total timeouts between the two teams. 2:12 on my computer's time. O/U 9.5 minutes.

They were over seeded but I hoped they would at least show up. Their best player tore his ACL a couple months ago and it's been tough since then.

I'm sorry, maybe my old-man-bitchiness has moved into another gear, maybe it is just first game of the tourney enthusiasm. But this tOSU-Dayton game is just chock-full of horrible basketballing.

ETA: How can you possibly allow that little ball of grit to get to the hole? Have you no pride?

ETAA: Hey, I'm a fan of this kid, despite the tough white guy hype. Aaron Craft played his ass off. Oops, and he is done. Grit don't substitute for slow feet on defense--gritty would've been to force your man to the middle on that drive, son.

I certainly don't know that the Miller brother is a good coach (and he did coach under Matta, so prob not) but Matta did nothing to dispel the notion that he mismanages things regularly.

If you have a stud offensive player to put the ball in his hands win or lose, fine. But craft ain't that kinda guy, IMO, regardless of him doing it before.

Saw on Twitter that the Ohio State loss eliminated 92 percent of the brackets entered into the billion dollar bracket contest.

I'm still in it until the Pitt-Colorado game wraps up.

Is Bo Ryan a good game manager? (Or do we get the answer to that question this year, since these Badgers have more athleticism than past squads?)

He's terrible. I fully expect them to lose in the next round.

They haven't really been an offensive juggernaught since he got hurt, but this is sad.

Following the typical ACC first/second round template. Big team that draws well? Well you have a maximum travel radius of 150 miles.

Eh. They do that for a lot of teams in the pod system. They typically try to keep top 3-4 seeds close to home.

At the time I noticed, 4/4. But college hoops aren't as bad as other sports, with the q4min tv time out. The NBA annoys me much more.

If the NBA didn't give you the half court bump I don't think they would bog down as often as they do.

If Harvard can pull this out I hope Duke loses early so people can start clamoring that Coach K is over the hill.

I mean, I hope Duke loses early no matter what.

Edit: For some reason I completely blacked out on Amaker's disappointing Michigan tenure. He's probably just set for life at Harvard at this point.

AB is right that the committee does their best to "protect" the top 3-4 seeds in each region.

Funny how this was not a complaint when Syracuse was a four-seed who got shipped to San Jose last year in a pod with California, who was the 12-seed, but probably got no help from the crowd when winning their opener by three.

I doubt anyone in the KC metro area would speak ill of this. Though if Kansas and Mizzou were both high seeds and one got sent to Spokane while the other stayed at home you hear otherwise.
