And if the NHL can't get good ratings for these series and the final in America they never will. This has everything (best player in the world, defending champs, president trophy winners and Zdeno Chara). It will be wild!

And LA vs Chicago continues Sunday evening. That's a brutal start.
I would generally think this favors the Hawks because they are pretty deep this year, but the way they were dragging around the ice tonight, all bets are off.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.
I'm rooting for the Penguins because most of the Bruins fans on my Facebook feed are fucking terrible human beings. Plus, I love that town.

Do I root for the Blackhawks because of the Playoff Pool or the Kings because I like them a slightly bit more? Only team I don't like is Boston, but the Penguins are my favorites so it wouldn't matter who they play anyway.
ETA - Seems like a pretty decent game so far.

This series is getting really good. Bergeron and Malkin just got into a fight. Chara punched Crosby in the face (Crosby is no longer wearing the jaw-shield) and now Crosby is trash-talking Chara inviting him to fight!
End of 2nd period. 1-0 Boston.

As much as I admire Sid's grit, it didn't go too well for the last captain from QMJHL's Rimouski Oceanic that tried that with Chara in a playoff game (Lecavalier).
Malkin taking down Bergeron in a scrap? Those two? Didn't see that coming.
Chicago has to do something about that ice. It was horrible again today; Stones or no Stones, terrible ice affects the game enormously. If this is the NHL's showcase, they simply must do better than that.

The Kings are beat up and injuries are taking a toll. Both of their previous two series' were long and physical. Can't help but think that the Sharks would have had a much better chance against Chicago.

And it's not one issue. Pittsburgh is simply getting out-played at every single facet of the game.
They've looked like garbage since the third period on Saturday. WTF do I know, but I think Bylsma pulled Vokoun too early last night. If there was any flicker at all, that fourth goal killed it, and now he has to spend the next two days dealing with goalie questions in addition to trying to do something about the rest of the team. On the plus side, I got to go to bed early last night.

26 guys in this game have Stanley Cup rings. Both teams playing brilliant situational hockey. This is a tremendous game. What a difference decent ice makes, eh? After that abnormally terrible ice in Chicago, that surface in LA looks fantastic. Commentators typically don't mention it but the line-changing has been utterly brilliant this evening.

Right up until LA inexplicably changed everybody with puck in neutral ice and Hawks in possession. Luckily for Kings, Hawks called for offsides to lose a great scoring chance.

The Pens have finally tilted the ice a bit (the PPs helped), but Boston still seems to get a decent chance every other time they get possession. Goal #2 is going to be a back breaker.
